2016-2017 Season Thread

wish there were better road trips. Cant swing the Atlantis trip but always like a mid season trip to somewhere warm to watch the boys play. Wish Miami or South Fla were still in conference....,jk......how about a nice road non conference game against Texas, UNLV, or Florida? I can feel the sun now when its 25 here....maybe in 2018. lol

Tweet from Matt-
A wk from today our entire team will report back to campus. The season is upon us. The hard work & dedication will show on the court #sjubb

The tweet from Matt reminded me that while the hiring of Slice will go down as one of the worst in SJU history the hiring of Matt might turn out to be one of the best.

This is a program that hired Norm Roberts and Mike Jarvis. No room at top of SJU basketball bad hiring for anyone else.

How about making it to Jamaica Queens for a Saturday game in December? CA is warmer than anywhere else in the United States.

Think Ali B's teammates and coaches laugh behind his back about that bad blonde dye job ?

It was actually a shrewd move. Maybe the coaches will confuse him for Freudenberg and he'll get more minutes.

It's common now but when I was a kid it was considered avant garde and edgy for a teen to have purple hair. I always thought that was silly since it was hardly cutting edge. you could go into any beauty parlor or church and find a dozen elderly ladies with blue / purple hair and when my school banned it we all had a laugh because our octogenarian English teacher was bucking the rules..

now however I find this latest trend really disturbing. young ladies dying their hair gray. (confirmed with my daughter that this is in fact trendy for some).

But if Ali B wants to look like he belongs in a Wham! video (previous pic his hair had a pink hue), who am I to complain?

Ali B can pass for Freudenberg, Wham ! or a state fair carnival staffer

As long as he doesn't start dressing and be talking like Ali B, I'm OK with grey/blonde with black roots look. He may not be starting talent but he is a great kid!
