2015 Bracketology

I agree with all who think we are in but listening to the talking heads on ESPN the anti-BE buzz is alive and well. Led by Bilas who disparaged Nova as a one seed with the old "who have they beaten" mantra, completely ignoring the depth, quality, and pre-conference play of the conference. Now that Virginia and his (and ESPNs) beloved Duke have lost, he's politicing to make a case. My only concern is that if in that selection room there is a similar opinion of the conference because of the non-football factor (read $) and they decide the conference only gets 5 we could get screwed. Just thought I would make everyone's day (at least those foolish enough to take me seriously.)

Lunardi has us as a lock. That flashed at bottom of ESPN during Stony Brook game 100 times, so we got that going for us.[/quote)

I really do agree we are in but I just want to see it.....I never underestimate what money can do and the BCS conferences have been very open that they want all the money.
I'd think new york market couldn't hurt though

I don't know what anybody is complaining about, it sets up perfectly for that revenge game for last year's NIT debacle with Robert Morris. :)

It's a revenge game for Kentucky too. I'd rather play Kentucky than Robert Morris.

FYI Robert Morris knocked Kentucky out of the 2013 NIT and us out of the 2014 NIT.

I'm probably the only person hoping that we're in the 8/9 game with a shot at Kentucky in the round of 32.

Want to be relevant again and get St. John's back on the map? Go beat Kentucky. Do I think it's likely to happen? No. But it's an opportunity for the biggest signature win for this program in at least 30 years. No guts no glory.

Not loving that latest Lunardi bracket.

I love it. We take care of cincin then take on kentucky. Kentucky has had 3 or 4 tough games. They can lose.at least it will be exciting. Imagine if we win
ncaa is all about dreams

It wouldn't surprise me to see the Committee and the NCAA screw the Big East to please the football conferences. But, I think we are in, I don't think it will happen. Although, I wouldn't put it past them.

When I looked at those brackets I figured Lunardi was amusing himself. (I like the Duke/Davidson). But I'll tell you what, anyone coming out of the first couple of rounds in that scenario including Kentucky is going to be tired. Really fast, physical teams that play killer defense. KY, St Johns, Cin, UT, L'ville.

Not loving that latest Lunardi bracket.

What I do notice about his latest brackets, is the losses by Duke and Virginia, didn't cause him to blink, and I am not so sure Wisconsin might edge out one of those two teams as a 1 seed.

I think he might be bowing to the ACC which ESPN promotes heavily

I think Wisc is the better team right now, but the counter-argument is that Duke went to Wisc and beat them there.

I would add that they have a hefty financial interest in the ACC. These networks should add a disclaimer to the their scrawl.
