2015 Bracketology

I'll take a shot at this. This is what we needed to root for today:

George Mason over Rhode Island
Minnesota over Wisconsin (Wisconsin Won)
VCU over UMass (VCU won)
Syracuse over Pittsburgh (Pitt won)
South Carolina over Texas A&M (Texas A&M Won)
Florida over LSU (LSU won)
Iowa St. over Texas (Iowa St. Won)
Duquesne over Dayton (Duquesne Won)

Game is on ESPN2. Gonzaga is making a big run to close it to 55-54 with 4:32 remaining. Zags just hit a three and they are on an 8-0 run. SMC has the ball.

Fun astmosphere.

Damn! Gonzaga closes it out very strong to win 70-60. They'll be really tough to beat in close games with that two-man game of Pangos and Karnowski with three other guys (Wiltjer, Bell, and Matthews) that can shoot, rebound, score, and pass. And Sabonis on top of that.

This is probably the best Zags team yet. I still think Nova should be a #1 seed over them if it came down to it, though. Lunardi has the Zags as the final #1 and Nova as the second #2.

I've already penciled both of them in for the Final Four if the bracket works out that way.

Per Palm as of this morning of the top 6 BE schools four have RPIs in the 20s, Xavier has jumped to 32 with the Butler win, SJU still at 41. He projects all 6 in the NCAAs.

IMO for SJU to be safe it needs to end the year with a .500 conference record, an RPI around 35, and a respectable showing in the BET.

I feel good about 500 record but we will be the underdog in our 1st BE game. It won't be easy.

I agree. With the way the bubble has been shaping up, it looks like finishing. 500 in the conference and 3 more wins (between regular season and BET) will be required.

What could help us today:

Utah over Oregon
Nebraska over Iowa
Rutgers over Indiana
Tulsa vs Temple (toss up, both are bubble teams)
Michigan St vs Illinois (also a toss up)

I was on their campus last spring. Lots of really nice kids their who helped me navigate when I asked for directions. Spoke to people in Spokane and nearby resort town Couer D'Aline where Stockton has a home and is revered in the area. It's a very easy team to root for, and should SJU not make it I'll root for them and Villanova.

I think Temple and MSU should both be the teams we root for. I think temple is definitely gonna make it at this point regardless if they lose to Tulsa so im hoping they don't help Tulsa tonight

Oregon about to pick up a huge win over Utah. Oregon will have now passed us most likely since they were previously one of the first 4 out
