2015-16 Official Schedule Thread

Trying to get a feel for the final non conference schedule. Here's what I can tell. Added the NJIT game. Any other mistakes?

Odd, as I thought that game last year was scheduled with Maui in mind. Maybe it was, and they couldn't come up with a date around that time.

Damn. Must have been a Lavin game. Now I might have to go to Maui
 
Is that Rutgers game at Carnesecca? I've seen it reported as both Carnesecca and MSG.

Carnesecca. Was supposed to be at MSG, but the tournament organizers made it that Thursday night, when MSG has a Billy Joel concert.
 
At Fordham a surprise.

Maven had the Fordham game a while back.

As for the three Sunday games, two are at MSG, where we probably have little or no say over when a game is played. The other is part of a 3 game in 5 day stretch. We probably did not want to play back-to-back.

One thing I like about this schedule: No non-conference games after the conference season has begun. I think a week (or so) of rest is more important at that time of the year, then filling in an open spot with a non-conference game (even a good one).

Interesting that we are not playing at the Barclays Center this year. I was under the impression that was going to be an annual event.
 
Lou often talked about scheduling the little sisters of the poor. Now we've scheduled the sisters of charity. Hence the big red circle on my calendar for December 18.

Don't overlook them. They won 18 games and made the CBI postseason tournament last year. They lose their top scorer to graduation, but everyone else should be back.
 
Glad to see Fordham away, I've been looking for an excuse to check out Rose Hill Gymnasium before it's too late, and as it's the 2nd oldest arena in ncaa d1 it might not be around for much longer.
 
The way Fordham alum pony up for anything involving the basketball program you have plenty of time.
