2015-16 Official Schedule Thread

Does anyone know when Fordham single game tickets go on sale. I've tried calling their ticket office and i get no answer.

I'm pretty sure they will be almost free come closer to game day. I'd wait.
 
This year's schedule has Syr as a major draw and Geo and Vill a little below. With a totally new team one can understand why there is not many games vs top teams. But with the commitment shown by the SJU administration and the recruiting efforts by the current staff the next step is to schedule games at MSG that are attractive to the media,fans and recruits.
The new Big East doesn't provide this. If we have to swallow our pride and schedule Conn,ND or Lou so be it but playing major teams at MSG has always been the backbone of SJU's success.

UConn at the Garden would be a major plus, IMO. They draw a great crowd. Their fans are despicable, which is what helps to makes a rilavry great.

They draw a lousy crowd. The actually students are quite nice and I have sat with them to watch games, most recently during the last big east tournament. The non-student or non-alumni hick fans from the backwoods of Connecticut are the beer throwing, fight starting jerks we don't need to have at our home games. Yukon, IMHO, we should only see them again in the NCAA tournament. I would agree that teams like Notre Dame, BC or Louisville are good choices for non conference games.

Well, admittedly, the last UConn game I went to at MSG was during Lavin's first year here. But it was a weeknight and the place was almost packed. Behind us were a bunch of very, very obnoxious UConn students, who got increasingly drunk and irritated as it became apparent that they were going to lose. One of them kept screaming "Fordham, Fordham" referring to our Fordham loss earlier in the season. Seeing them lose was fabulous.
 
Red White Scrimmage on Sat. 10/31 at 12:30 pm. No charge, and no tickets required (first come, first served event).

Also, the times for the two exhibition games have been announced.

St. Thomas Aquinas will be at 7 pm on Wed. 11/4.

Sonoma St. will be at 4 pm on Sat. 11/7.

All 3 events will be shown live on espn3.com.

can someone explain this sonoma state connection I feel like we have played them a few times in preseason but I don't see why they would travel to NY to play us...

Lavin had connections with a lot of Bay Area coaches at all levels (we've played a few of these teams in exhibitions).

My guess is that Lavin scheduled this before he left (sometimes these are scheduled a year in advance), and Mullin felt it was easier to just honor the commitment, rather then scramble for another game.
 
Coach, Pat Fuscaldo, is from Greenwich, Ct so it brings him back home. His family sets up housing, meals, and fundraising to ease the cost of the trip. I am sure his kids like the trip. Probably set up by Lavin and easily enough to play rather than getting some bad ink by cancelling. I would think this will the last year for them.as many teams would love the experience and coach has plenty of contacts himself.
 
i see 10-2 in preseason.

I see SJU getting swept by Nova, Butler, and G-Town.
Could see us sweeping DePaul and splits vs. everyone else.

So 7-11, 17-13 total.

Hopefully by March they start playing great together and run the B.E. Tournament, and make the NCAA.

To those that don't like predictions, just ignore it. It's just for fun.
and wioth 9 new players, I'm not putting pressure on him. In fact only because it's Mullin, I'll give him a 2 year pass.
