2015-16 Official Schedule Thread

Glad to see Fordham away, I've been looking for an excuse to check out Rose Hill Gymnasium before it's too late, and as it's the 2nd oldest arena in ncaa d1 it might not be around for much longer.

Love the arena.
Love it 1000% more than CA

I say the same thing, but if I went to Fordham games regularly, I'd probably feel different.

Either way, Fordham will never be a consistent contender in the A10, as long as they call that building home. How can they compete when they struggle to fill it, while teams like Dayton pack their 13,000 seat arena every game?

At least we have MSG to fill the revenue gap. Even when it's filled with opposing fans, all of that money goes into our pockets (for regular season games, anyway).

Yeah I guess it gets filed into the "it's a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there" category.

Two years ago, SJU had a great trip to Butler.

Would hope they do it again this year, and if not Butler, then to Creighton.

Butler will run us out of the gym this year.
Hope for Omaha, which is actually a pretty neat town.

7 msg games ? that sucks

it's gonna be a late night of cheesesteaks after that 8pm nova game for 114

The providence game could be a nice road trip

There are some odd times for a few games-11 AM on Sunday 12/6 at MSG for St. Francis, 6 PM on Friday 11/13 at CA for Wagner, 5 PM, yes, 5 PM on Wednesday 12/9 for Niagara on campus and 9 PM on campus for Xavier on Wednesday 1/6.

they don't serve beer till 12 on sundays I think which means I'll be standing with MCNPA outside on line at the beer booth watching the game waiting for them to open

There may not be enough people at that game to even open the concessions :)

+1 for great drinking info

Only 5 Big East conference games at MSG this year. Last year, we had 6 + Duke at MSG.
I am not a happy camper.

Very disappointing. Who wants to see St. Francis at MSG, that shouldn't even be considered a MSG game.

Wonder if this reflects the financial situation at the school, and perhaps a cost cutting measure. Could be totally wrong of course.

I'm guessing that since the new Big East has newcomers and new rivalries take time to materialize, right now scheduling an Xavier game, as an example, at MSG will only bring out the Red Storm faithful which based on past years, results in a low turnout. However if you schedule local teams, i.e. Seton Hall, Providence, and dare I say St. Francis, those fan bases will be amped to play at MSG and come out in force. Although the Creighton fan base travelled well to MSG their first year in the Big East, that was solely due to All American Doug McDermott. I don't know many people living in NYC that went to Xavier, Creighton, or Butler but I know a lot folks that went to the Hall, Providence, and dare I say St. Francis.
