19-20 Transfers
Source: Manhattan forward Pauly Paulicap has entered the transfer portal. Averaged 10.4 points and 6.6 rebounds this past season.

Grad transfer that will be immediately eligible.

With those # I’m shocked he didn’t get more than 20 minutes. Must have been a foul machine. But a name like that is worth the look alone.

Interesting....

Former MAAC defensive player of the year.
6'8" chiseled.
Appears to be an inside banger with hops.

I prefer Yor Anei personally. Need to be landing higher caliber players. I’d take this kid over not using the scholarship 100%. Still pulling for Anei though. He’d be more of a difference maker.

Yor is exactly the kind of player Texas seems to always have and we very very rarely have. If we finally get a true big with real major conference size who can block, rebound, and score while also running the court well, that could very well be the missing link assuming guard play is good like it usually is. I know a Xavier fan I'm friendly with and when I asked for the first thing that comes to mind about SJ, he said "Usually have good guards but no big men". I'll guess he lands at Texas and hopefully be pleasantly surprised when he comes to Queens :)

Both guys have heartwarming stories and seem like good citizens in-the-making.
Not sure if we'll show interest in Pauly, but I'd be happy with either.

I'm with MCNPA on this one. Yor Anei gives us two years with room for growth whereas the kid from Manhattan gives us one year of the same kind of stuff our other two big men will give us if healthy. If we are going to take a one year rental would prefer another wing who can shoot it a little. That is assuming Roberts is healthy.

One year rentals are useful only if they fill a glaring immediate need on your roster or if they are talented enough to step in and have an immediate significant impact on your team

Generally speaking, I would prefer a "multi year" transfer over a one year grad transfer

Per @jakeweingarten

Oregon freshman CJ Walker has entered his name into the transfer portal. Averaged 4.0 points and 2.4 rebounds. Former five-star recruit will be an intriguing name on the portal.

Bottom line is that talented players continue to enter the transfer portal on what seems to be a daily basis.
I am really hoping that the staff can pick up a good solid transfer who will help in 2021 and beyond. A power forward or a post would be great at this point in time, even one that had to sit a season.
I'm going to predict that Arkansas and Gonzaga will reach out to Walker. Nebraska too.
Miami was a finalist first time for this native Floridian, but not sure of their roster makeup.

CJ Walker was recruited by Anderson at Arkansas

“High recruited forward CJ Walker talked about his interest in Arkansas on Recruiting Thursday and plans to visit Fayetteville. His mentor Marcus Robinson also joined the show.
Walker, 6-8, 183 pounds of Orlando Christian Prep has 33 scholarship offers from Arkansas, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Texas A&M, Georgetown, LSU, Louisville and others. He plays for Florida-based 17-under E1T1 on the Nike EYBL circuit.”

MAIN REASON FOR INTEREST IN ARKANSAS:
"They fit my style of play with the uptempo- with the pressing.... I feel like my numbers would be good at Arkansas."

Would not be at all surprised if decision to transfer was prompted, at least in part, by LJ transferring in. Walker played 15 mpg as frosh, 6'8" 200 pounds, probably sees LJ taking a lot of what he hoped would be increased PT in upcoming season. Would be ironic if we got him.
