No harm here.
Now any chance that Finnish kid wants to get back into 2020?
Would be great

Not worth the reach.

I know it's early in CMA's tenure, but we are past the point of just needing bodies. We should only give ships to those who make us better. Maybe he would, but the stats scare me.
I'm confused on your logic... In the Carlos Curry thread, you said he's a "must get" and he averaged 0.7 PPG / 0.7 RPG against "real competition." But Johnson was a starter that averaged 11 PPG / 6.7 RPG for a team that won their conference and put up a double/double against the #16 team in that nation and it's "we're past the point of just needing bodies."

Just looking at the high major teams that are after Johnson and the high major teams that are after Curry... Johnson is the more sought after prospect... Johnson has had St. John's, Arkansas, Miami, and DePaul after him, and Curry has had St. John's, West Virginia, and Oregon State as the high majors after him the rest are all mid-major schools.
Lets be fair though in that game vs. #16 team. He shot 2 of 13.
Also was 6/6 from the foul line, but all that's irrelevant because I didn't watch that game and I'm assuming you didn't either, for all we know he coulda been getting hacked all game and refs missed some calls. My whole point was, I don't see how anybody can say someone who averaged 0 PPG is a "must get" and then go over to another thread and say a guy that averaged 11 PPG and was an all-conference player as "we can do better." Regardless, looks like he'll be playing a couple miles from where I live, so I'll get to see him in person play, so hit me up a year or so from now and I'll let you know how he looks :)

You are correct that I wasn't watching Memphis against whatever school he went to ;) But I love stats and the 2-13 is 2-13.

While I'm not the one clamoring for a big man and I know that was the crux of your post I get that. I just saw nothing from this kid besides a lot of running around and off balance layups, drive and put back dunks. Good luck to him though and maybe he refines his game under a big time coach.

good for Arkansas. Part of me wonders if this wasn't a bit of a head fake on the part of our staff, that Ark fell for. I don't see how this kid fit anything we needed.

Anderson thinks he's going to keep recruiting on our turf? We'll show him!
(laughter in Queens)
Hilarious!!!!!
Athletes will be granted a penalty-free, 1-time transfer starting in 2021, per proposal sent to DI Council & obtained by @SINow. It’s expected to pass in January.

FB/BSK players must notify school of transfer by May 1 each year.

There is going to be some gross in-season tampering. If you have an underclassman tearing it up, have to figure other programs will have their feelers out.

Does no penalty apply for mid-season transfers? If someone suits up in November 2021 for St. John's, can that kid suit up for another team in late December 2021?

But that happens now.

Only if the school accepting the transfer sends the other school a draft pick and future considerations.

Agreed. Likely even more prevalent in the absence of having to sit.

Fallout will be interesting

“The spring is going to be quite the ride. One-time transfer waiver expected to come into play, extra year of eligibility, presumably expanded scholarship limits too due to the extra year. Plus the potential impact on the 2021 class.”
