19-20 Transfers

A few other target names: Arnaldo Toro, Chevez Goodwin, Maurice Calloo
From all the names, I’m guessing staff looking to land at least two more guys this season.
One unless roster spot opens. More and more I believe LJ returns and McGriff has not indicated he is leaving. Fluid stuff though.
LJ can do what he wants but truly believe it’s an awful time to try to go pro overseas with this pandemic unfolding. Not great timing. Would love to have him back as well. Give him more tools around him and he can really do damage.
It just isn't wise to commit to anything other than staying home until a reliable treatment is out there, and a trustworthy vaccine as well. Who knows when this thing gets under control. There is no region of the world that is safe, and there are plenty of countries no person would like to get sick in. I hope LJ has the patience to play 1 more season at SJU. He will have a nice overseas career with a lot less worry by taking his time getting there.

Celtic on JJ posed an interesting question. Is the fact that we are in the epicenter of the Coronavirus pandemic dissuade recruits from coming here?

I doubt it. This thing is global and moving fast. It’s everywhere.

I definitely think we see transfers try to get a waiver to play immediately and blame it on corona fears.

Not the greatest time to be recruiting to NYC. That is pretty obvious, for the same reason I worry about my daughter living in NYC.

Hope your daughter is taking the social distancing serious and staying home. A friend shared pictures of Central Park and it was empty-unreal.

As to recruiting, I don't think NYC will be harder than any where else because this is rapidly spreading.

Hate to say it but it is a pandemic and it is everywhere. There were so many flights all over Continental U.S. in Jan and Feb. from California and New York that the virus is unfortunately everywhere and no state in the union will be immune to it.

Be safe because it is coming your way in the South too

Illinois sophomore transfer Alan Griffin (8.9 ppg, 4.5 rpg) told me that he is considering the following right now:

Miami, Arizona, Marquette, Dayton, Iowa State, Texas, Syracuse, Duke
