Of course it depends on who the opponents are, but in general, I don't mind that. That gives you some margin for error WRT a bad Big East start. Now, if you're something like 3-5 after that, you are still in position for a decent to good Big East record. Even 2-6 would not be a total disaster in that scenerio, although not ideal.

Except that Cooley seems to know how to play the pissed off card to his advantage. At least, he has against us, in the past.

Cooley against Mullin wasn't exactly a fair matchup
 
St Johns will play 5 of first 8 league games on road. 6 league games at MSG, including Super Bowl Sunday against Georgetown. #sjubb

St Johns opens New Years Eve against Butler at Carnesecca. Both St. John’s-Seton Hall games on national network tv #sjubb #shbb

They're showing our schedule now.

As reported, Butler on campus New Year's Eve to open, then 5 out of 7 on the road. Pressure will be on to win that first one.
