2022 Yankees

Just spoke to a co-worker and fellow Yankee fan who feels as I do (but was more specific about) that Cashman was working on a trade for Lopez of the Marlins and knowing he was going to have another starting pitcher in hand, traded Montgomery to get a better defensive outfielder than Hicks but ran out of time before he could finalize the Lopez deal.

For all the good the other trades appear to be (even counting my feelings on Benintendi), this one drops the overall grade considerably.

OK, THAT's why. I feel better now.

“Me and my staff entered the trade acquisition market of exports and imports trying to figure out the overall ecosystem of that roster and what fits best with a plan for October and how could we best be flying high at the best of our abilities when it counts the most in October and what gives us the most amount of quality choices?"

Somebody bring a plate of spaghetti out to the mound for Cole to serve up to the hitters along with the meatballs he is throwing to them.

I hope he's either tipping his pitchers, or trying to pitch through an injury that he's not telling anyone about.

Well if he’s tipping his pitches it’s telling the batter here’s a straight pitch right down the middle of the plate.

I hope its the former. With Severino on the DL, Montgomery gone along with Sears, our safety net for Starting Pitchers, German, is already in the rotation.

Potential pitchers dual between two aces over before the home team even came to the plate.

We should count ourselves lucky he has only given up 3 homers so far. The B.Avg for each of the homerun-hitters is as follows: .236, .207, and .135..........Hall of Famers one and all.

Unbelievable start to this game Cole again atrocious

Base running back to back days terrible
I am afraid to ask what they did on the bases this time? Even more afraid to watch the lowlights!

Well, they have a day off to regroup and hopefully start something good in St. Louis.

What happened to Gil, he looked like he had promise?

What a mess. Your so called Ace does not show up, yet again. This team has no chance in the postseason with Cole serving up gophers. There has to be something going on. This road trip is really critical. Got a break today with the Jays losing, or the loss column would have been at 9. Basreunning becoming an issue once again. WTF was Rojas thinking?
