Where are the University presidents speaking up & out? Other than Dartmouth, (for obvious reasons) there is overall silence from the academia side.
I thought the timing of the creation of NIL immediately following an announcement of plans by a for profit group to create a league of salaried players not yet eligible to play in the NBA. It seems rules were hastily created to kill off any talent drain that could diminish or destroy the NCAA multi billion dollar empire. The beauty of it is for colleges, they don't foot the bill.

Wow between Edgecomb and Roach, Baylor’s pockets must be mighty deep. 
Glad that we are in Amari Williams final 3. I know Kentucky is Kentucky, but that’s a new coach with a bare roster right now so hopefully he sees us as better option. Don’t know what to make of Miss State. I’m done waiting for Cliff so hope we can close here.

I would be a lot less hopeful on Amari if Cal was still in Lexington. Can not underestimate BBN overpaying to help Pope year 1 but this seems ripe for us to make our first splash. Land Amari and Scott and you’re bringing in two lunch pail, gritty and older defensive minded Rick prototypes.
I'm not going to search for the thread on last year's portal targets, but my recollection is that things are not far behind where we were last year. We have a legendary coach, who has a proven track record in getting things done with recruiting. There's really nothing any of us can do here (one way or the other), so I will continue to sit back and "enjoy" watching things unfold. As a fan-base haven't we had enough anxiety over the past 40+ years?! Ha! Go Johnnies!!

Didn’t mean to come off so much blaming the players I think it is right that they are compensated and I don’t blame them for trying to get as much as they can. I am more disgusted with the NCAA for just throwing this out there with no plan and no structure in place to police it. It is bad for the sport it will become impossible for non power conference teams to be relevant anymore they can not afford to retain any quality players. They need to at least limit each player to one transfer so you don’t get a kid develop him and then just watch him leave the following year or hold you hostage for more money. They need to quickly develop better rules to save the sport.

So this is gonna be like a reverse "favorite poster" competition? Are you starting from the "least favorite poster" and working your way up from there into better ones, or from something like the "10th least favorite poster" and counting down from there to least favorite?
But what if sacrificing a "favorite poster" gets you a better player?
The committee has carefully reviewed hundreds of posters and narrowed it down using a very specific set of metrics and information provided to us
