Third straight week, fourth overall for Zuby. He's absolutely in the conversation for most improved Big East player of the year, he's in the conversation to be a first team Big East team member, at the very least second. Matt McCall said if Johni Broome didn't exist we'd be talking about Zuby as one of the most imposing players in the country.

Truly amazing to watch him blossom. And doing so by being such a team first guy, someone that never takes a play off and is so humble off the court. So happy for him.

The addition of a finesse game has elevated Zuby to All-Big East. Coming into this season, his strength and high motor were givens. Through 12 games, we’ve seen incredible touch around the basket. Up and unders, reverse layups, etc… Power and finesse is a deadly combination. Hard work paying off for Zuby.

His ability to block shots especially when he comes up from behind impress me almost as much as his offensive rebounding.

Mel Davis averaged 16.4 rebounds per game over his 2 year (54 game) St. John’s stint. Played only his soph and junior years. Freshmen were ineligible. He was an animal on the boards.
