Who does coach think hes fooling?
Every night I turn on the tv this week I see a big east team playing a big time game. And we are in a half empty arena playing St Francis. No wonder these kids cant get up for these games and almost lost today.
Schedule is soft, there's no defending that. But some of you guys are acting like St. John's is the only school in the conference doing this. Have you guys not looked at Georgetown, DePaul, and Creighton's schedule? All of these schedules are weaker. And a lot of the other's aren't too much stronger.
UConn - Has yet to play a high major school, will only play 3 or 4 high majors in non-conference (Depending how pre-season tournament goes)
DePaul - Has only played 1 high major so far in Rutgers, will only play 3 high majors in non-conference.
Xavier - Has only played 1 high major so far in OSU, will only play 3 or 4 high majors in non-conference (Depending how pre-season tournament goes)
Creighton - Has only played 1 high major so far Nebraska, will only play 3 high majors in non-conference.
Providence - Will play 4 high majors
Seton Hall - Will play 4 high majors
Georgetown - Hasn't played a high major yet, will only play 3 high majors in non-conference
Butler - Has only played 1 high major in MSU, will only play 4 high majors in non-conference.
So, you have 4 out of 11 teams in conference only playing 3 high major non-conference games and you have possibly 5 out of 11 playing only 4 high major non-conference games. So, only 2 teams Marquette and Villanova are playing more than this. Villanova of course has Championship aspirations this year and a veteran team, so that's why their schedule is so tough. I don't know why Marquette choose such a touch schedule, maybe Shaka really liked his transfers and feels like he's playing with house money with it being his first year and he ended up being right.
