day 5. spring.
the lineup was full of starters and others that will be in the bronx in april.
that group had 24 official at bats but managed but 5 singles, a triple, and 2 walks.
not exactly 1927.
 
day 6. spring.
9 pitchers. one inning a piece. 4 pitchers that will fill out the pen.
volpe getting a lot of positive ink. as well as ortega. jasson opening many eyes.

Jasson makes the team. Trade Hicks for a bag of peanut M & Ms. Gotta play hardball and not settle for plain.

Jason doesn’t make the team but we might seem him up this year. Dunham gets a call up in May. Peraza wins the Shortsop job, Volpe goes to AAA and transitions to 2B and gets called up when Torres is traded as part of a blockbuster deal or takes ove 3B when DJ goes down again and they realize they aren’t going to get anything out of Donaldson.

As for Hicks, Yanks will pull a Eddie Lee Whitson with him and only plays him in room ad games due to getting off to a horrendously bad start and the fans being all over him and eventually Cabrera and Dunham take over until the blockbuster trade happens or they get a nice veteran who can fill the position.
 
day 7. spring

- Spencer Jones quietly has a strong game
- Harrison Bader continues to hit rockets
14 total bases for yanks. yanks hitting is middle of mlb pack.
potential starter schmidt gets racked.
 
day 8. spring.
hicks gettys. donaldson base knocks. both want anderson type extensions.
volpe, cabrera, sweeney , ortega, calhoun continue to shine.
sevy takes step back.
5 gallos for the lineup.. strikeouts and this lineup, sadly goes hand in hand.
hero hitting has entered the bronx.
 
day 9. spring.
cabrera and jasson stay hot/hot with gettys.
yank sticks have 11 gallos, but 4 gettys. hero ball at its finest.
rodon rocked. 2 innings, 5 runs, 6 hits, walk.
SJU's athletic dept is going over the buyout clause in rodon.s package.
 
day 10. spring.
volpe/jasson. bronx bound.
dj is bavk. #99 never left.
bravo german.
hicks/donaldson - not dead yet. awaiting extension paperwork.
it was a SJU alumni outing event in steinbrenner field.
