Yanks outlast D’Backs, 6-5 in 11 innings.
Rough day for Arizona pitcher Scott McGough. He takes the loss and strikes out with the bases loaded to end the game. “That’s baseball Susan.”
 
And the pitch was seriously outside, but we'll take it. Just one thing. Rizzo at first base has had a rough start to the season defensively. But no one can complain about a 6-1 start.

Unfortunately, he came back a bit, before some of the other guys got out of their slumps.

Also, Wells has to be the starting catcher, and Trevino should only play once, occasionally twice, per time through the rotation. He is an awful hitter, who is living off of two fluke months, from two years ago.
 
Uninspiring effort today. Should have stayed on the road, like the Red Sux, or had their home Opening Day on the road. Hah. Agree about Tevino. He should be a backup. And he should gave been pinch hit for his last time up when it was only 1-0. Also, he struggled behind the plate with Burti. Without Loasiga, this bullpen could be in trouble. Really good outing by Stroman wasted today.

Maybe Soto does want to play for the Mets.
