Washington doesn't have a lot of trade candidates, but Candelario seems like a lock to be moved by the Deadline. The impending free agent has an .821 OPS, 16 home runs and a 2.9 bWAR in 93 games and is owed less than $2 million for the remainder of the season. Outfielder Lane Thomas has also generated a lot of interest, but with two more years of control, he's far less likely to be dealt.
Potential fits: Marlins, Twins, Yankees
 
Yanks defense just pathetic, especially in the outfield. But don't worry, Boone will love the effort, which was nonexistent. Please stop sending Blake out to talk to the pitchers in a big spot. It never turns out well. They allowed a horrible hitter to hit 2 out tonight. And a terrible, glorified softball player to hit one out too. The Muts are every bit a bad hitting team as the Yanks, and they get 12 hits tonight. 0 for 6 with RISP for the misfits tonight. 11 LOB. 5 whole hits against a bad pitching staff. Marinaccio is horrible right now. Unfortunately the Yanks can't play the Royals every game. Expect Quintana ti shut down the Yanks tomorrow, and Rodon to be boo'd off the mound tomorrow.

ohtani - yanks need to figure out their walking wounded return status first.
as even the best player in beisball cant always overcome the yanks 3 run ceiling.
 
Yankee fan delemma: To root for the Yanks to win games and get back in the chase or to lose big and have Cashman and Boone removed and new leadership installed.

No delemma for me knight, I haven't care all season, I want them gone, cashman can't do it without George's money and Brett is a clueless idiot unless he's obeying Brian.

Why take the job if he's being told how to manage. It just makes Brett look like an idiot.

Glad Gleyber’s ball was caught at the wall as the douche walked toward first base admiring his 315 foot fly ball. I’d have removed his ass from the game. If the ball wasn’t caught he would have been on first instead of second. It’s why I find it hard to root for these guys. For those that defend these lazy schnooks let me ask you a question-in a sport far more physically demanding would you abide a St. John’s basketball player not hustling after a loose ball or waving at a guy driving right past him?
 
Team just cannot hit, especially with RISP. 1st inning a joke. Great job by the bullpen. This ream is going nowhere, with or without Judge. Baserunning and fielding continues to be subpar. No accountability. Stanton plays with no sense of urgency. The Misfits.

walk like a man. dj has 7 walks in last 2 games. dj is taking more pitches and is on a nice batting streak.
still, dj made a base running mistake.
yanks should fire their base running coach. let mrs rodon take over and learn them.
rodon has dropped the rust and pitched like he was signed for. bravo.
yanks reached their 3 run ceiling, but won the game.
 
Through 7 and 1/2 innings, the hitless misfits have wasted a great effort by Cole. Once again cannot get any offense going against a pitcher with a horrible ERA. How fast will King give this one away? Oh, and BTW, Stanton absolutely sucks.
