Apparently Dillon Lawson got the gate today. The entire minor league hitting operation needs to be revamped. It would be nice if they could actually develop positional players in the minors that could help the big club, rather than having to trade for guys like Donaldson and Rizzo, and play infielders in the outfield because they can’t develop anyone of note. How does Hal think this is acceptable?

Another brutal loss. Have I mentioned that there have been a bunch in the first half?
Boone says they're set up for strong 2nd half because of who's coming back. Who is that? Cortes? He was horrible before getting hurt. Think he got full of himself after last season. Judge? Doubt he'll be back. IMO he probaby will opt for surgery. So what you see is what you get, and it's not a pretty picture.
Great bullpen? No way, especially with Boone calling the shots. All he talked about the last 2 days was using Schmidt after German, and then he proceeds to use everyone but him until it was too late.
Team can't hit with RISP, and continues to play Little League defense. Thank you Torres. The lack of fundamentals is all on the staff.
Anyone that thinks this team has a run in them is delusional. They do all the little things poorly, and they've proven they have no long winning streak in them.
Glad to have a few days off from watching these misfits.

Whoever the new coach is, he is being set up to look like a genius, with the first series after the all-star break taking place at Coors Field.
How convenient.
It is the whole organization that is broken. You have to play small ball to win games. And it has been years of homer runs or no runs! The batters are old and have no plate discipline. Terrible combo to have.
Boone never plays with his gut. Analytics are what he uses. And pulling German with 74 pitches speaks to this. Boone is just plain making dumb decisions and Cashman is not helping him either.

That has always been my gripe with Boone. Might as well hire a 14 yo computer whiz and put him in the dugout. He could also spout Boone's bromides at the post-game press conference and they could use the salary savings for another over-the-hill DH-type.

Dolan problem was not being cheap which he isn’t it is that he interferes with basketball operations and makes poor hires and decisions.
