Boone is an idiot if he thinks MLB umpires don't hold his behavior against him and the Yankees.

WRT tonight's game, once again the Yankees aren't hitting a decent pitcher. Too many easy outs in the lineup. Great job by Marinaccio, hitting a batter, giving up a walk and then a 2 run homer. Plainly overrated.
 
At what point is the DJ LeMahieu contract an albatross?

Since signing that 6-year deal (which I never liked, though I didn't think it would be this bad, this early), he's hit .268, .261, and so far this year, .250. At 34 years old, why are we to believe that he is magically going to be the player he was 3 years ago? More likely the decline is in full force, with him.

Good series win before the west coast trip. But, geez, this team is tough to watch. The innings with the 2 errors reminds me how terribly bad this team is fundamentally. Higashioka with a good game at the plate, but WTH was he doing sliding into 3B on a base hit to the outfield? Volpe retreating to 2B on a clean hit to center? Who's coaching up this team? Every Yankees reliever allowed the first batter to reach every time. Made for a tight game. Cole with another bad outing. Must say that 7 for 10 hitting with RISP is excellent.
