Well I see the crew chief is picking right up where CB left off.

Top of the 4th and its strike em out throw em out double play but they call it ball 4 to Adames. Next batter 3 run HR.

He has to start taking criticism. He did very little against Houston last year and is doing nothing against TB. If he wants to be treated like the superstar everyone thinks he is he has to start coming thru and right now he is not. They put the first two runners on last night in ninth, DJ got a 2 out hit and Judge grounds out. Bases loaded they have Morton on the ropes and he gets a sac fly.

Bottom line is TB is proving the regular season was no fluke, they are flat out better than the Yankess.

Couple of things:
1)Good news is Stanton has redeemed himself in this post season.

2)Judge, see earlier post. Made the last out again tonight. Who would have thought the bash brother to have a big post season would be Stanton not Judge.

3)Tanaka has been a good post-season pitcher but this is 3 straight starts where he has been bad, game 4 last year in ALCS, game 2 against Cleveland and tonight.

4)Luke Voight got squeezed on that at-bat. And Tanaka may have got squeezed on a that strike 'em out throw en out that did not happen and then boom 3 run homer.

Backs against the wall.Win or there's no tomorrow. It's do or die. Win or go home.Sink or swim.

If they can find a way to win tonight I think they win the series. But thats a big big big If.

But then the ALCS is screwed and Cole can't pitch I think until Game 4.

Full transparency, I have never been a fan of Montgomery, so I don't see the Yanks winning tonight. The only way I see it is if they outslug the Rays. I believe Cole would go in game 5, leaving him to pitch game 3 of the ALCS. But I am getting way ahead of myself.

Hope springs eternal, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if Yanks win tonight. I think they'll need to gets lots of good at bats with deep counts like they did in Game 1 and score at least 6 runs to win.

*Game 3 would be a second straight start of 3 days rest which is why most of the chatter has been anyone who pitches in Game 5 is likely gone until 4.
Lineup out and Gary Sanchez sits again. Man his future in NY?
At least they finally figured out he is a liability. Next year we have to do better than Cole and pray.

His future is not here.
But the worst part is his value is lowest its ever been. The return won't be what most fans would want.

Few years ago looked like the next Mike Piazza, just going to be a stud middle of the order hitting catcher. 2018 was a disaster. But then first half of last year looked like he was back. Since then...

Here is another disaster. Astros about to close out Oakland which means we could be looking at an ALCS of TB and Houston two teams I CANNOT STAND.

Furthermore can you imagine the Astros winning the World Series (I don't think they will I think LA or TB will probably win it)? Presenting that team with the trophy after the cheating scandal.
