Yankees - 2020

I'm guilty of putting on the Yankees on the radio.
I was checking the scoreboard every half hour to get the score. I see yanks with a 5-2 lead, the hicks walk makes it 6-2, so I'm thinking maybe they'll start playing good again.
Well chad boy walks the first 2, gives up a single and luke can't field a ground ball. Ottavino comes in and is his usual crappy self.i turned it off so dont know if it was him or someone else, but some idiot gives up a GS to make it 12-6, a 10run 6th, maybe more? No idea since I'm really done now.
I'll predict no playoff
They really look like their season is over.
 
Team needs to take inspiration from the 99 Knicks. A lockout shortened 50 game season, where they had key guys injured most of the year (Sprewell and Ewing, plus Van Gundy buried Camby early, which he later admitted was a mistake), but sneak into the playoffs, and when the playoffs came around, they were as healthy as they had been all season. We know what they did after that.

Hopefully, this club can do the same. Right now, it doesn't look like it, but that can change over the next three weeks.

my 2 favorite yank pitchers were terrible - chad & jeremy and adam oh no
 
Jesus, even when they get a well pitched game they lose...

This typifies their season right now. Bases loaded and nobody out and 2-0 count on Torres. Fly ball, no run, they score just 1 run and Sanchez strikes out on a pitch in the dirt to end the inning. Meanwhile last night they gave up 10 runs in 1 inning.

grasping at straws dept - in recent years the yanks did well taking a lot of pitches, last night 6 walks
sad but i believe kraken should just stand there and not swing until he learns the strikezone
 
Amazing how save for the Islanders all the pro NY sports teams basically suck right now. Could always count on Yankees to be good but losing 15 of last 20 games in a 60 game season is brutal and only saving grace is more than half the teams make the playoffs this season whether deserved or not.
 
Dont worry. The Nationals won the World Series last year after a dreadful start. Its a 162 game season..............

Oh wait. Forget it.

If they are healthy they are clesrly one of a handful of teams that can win it.
