Cashman's roster has too many big swingers (strike outs) vs. singles hitters.
 
Unfortunately, the lineup the Yankees are throwing out for the Orioles home opener today (3:05 PM) is about as good as it gets right now, and it's still not that great.

game 8 - stop the presses - kraken caused 2 base runners to be thrown out - he picked a runner off first & he himself was picked off at second.
what a sweet come from behind victory. 4 getty goners.

decades ago Ballantine beer sponsored yankee games on tv. if a yankee such as William "bill" skowron hit a homer they would call it a Ballantine blast.
later when getty sponsored yankee tv games they would call yankee home runs a getty goner.

Saw that. Almost comical. You'd think he would be a bit more careful after the previous day. I find this team to be quite weak when it comes to baserunning and defense.

I think that was a Frank Messer phrase that was later adopted by the company.
