Yankees - 2019

Well back to last year for Sannchez
Before tonights game in July: 6-54 1HR, 4RBIs, AVG 111.... last 6 games in June 4-26, HRs 2RBIs
An amazing 10-80 1HR 6RBIs
That's in 20 freaking games.

Will the great Sanchize breakout in August???? Stay tuned.

Hopefully the bats have woken up. Didi had been looking horrible at the plate with pop ups and K's, hopefully the grand slam snapped him out of his funk.
The starters been carrying this team.
Remember when you were ripping the starters :p
and last 3 games: Paxton3.1in, 7 runs, CC 4INN, 7 runs, German 3.2inn, 8 runs
They suck again. It's a freaking roller coaster ride with this team.

Now that was one hell of a freaking crazy roller coaster ride.
On Sanos 2-run hr it's 11-10 Minny, Then Hicks 2-run HR makes it 12-11 Yanks, then Chap forgot how to pitch and walks the first 3 hitters to load the bases and gives up 1 12-12, then Torres with the big go ahead hit 13-12, 14-12 on the wild pitch.
Then Ottavino walks the bases loaded (WTF))))))))))))), then the best part the the ride, a diving game saving catch Hicks, if he doesn't catch that, all 3 on base score and we lose.
What a crazy game, and the pitching was shitty on both sides, but we'll take the W and on the the next game.
Get tonights game and win this series.

Another fantastic job by Booney-leave in German to give up 8 runs then sit back and watch Yanks score 2 touchdowns and convert both extra points to win the game.

And he's headed for the DL it seems. Pretty obvious he's been nursing/hiding something.

Watching a game with you has gotta be a blast.;)

Great win, but the starting pitching is horrific. This team will not get deep into the playoffs with starting pitching as is, and I'm not sure there is a solution. 3 elite relievers were also terrible last night. I predict Haap goes 4 innings tonight and gives up 4 homers.

Did you happen to see what happened when he did bring the relievers in? The Yankees do not have a go to starter and their bullpen is overrated. If they do not get a front line starter they are not going to last long in the post season. At this point I'm not sure who would even start the first playoff game.

game $. one for the ages.
I go to bed when didi hits his homer & yanks down 8 to 5.
the timer was set for 5 1/2 hours,
I just finished watching the game - I did not know the final score. I had 13 minutes of tape left.
I cussed out boone when it was 7th inning & yanks had 1st 3rd,1 out & lead off hitter up (hicks not dj). weak fly to short left. no yank scores.
I cussed in 8th inning when yanks had 1st & 3rd, 1 out. no one scored.
I cussed out boone when it was 9th inning & men on base & lead off hitter hicks strikes out.
I cussed out boone when he pinch runs dj, meaning no dj at bat for 9 players. dj scores.
hard not to give POG award to didi who was 5 for 5 with getty goner & seven rbis.
hicks home run & great leaping/diving game saving catch earns the man the POG award and COY award.
the daily old school redmen savage player of the game award goes to the tausch. not for his 2 hits, not for his 2 runs, not for his rbi, but for his 2 out walk when yanks were one strike away from losing.
the daily old school redmen why was he even born award goes to both teams pitching.
IMVHO the yanks pen is way above average. chapman just could not find the plate.
of course the twinkies have a very strong lineup & rocked 2 yankee starters.
in playoffs, boone will need to have a quicker hook than he has shown of late.
Cashman work the phones.

The team is 30 games above 500. 30!
They have managed to get there with this crappy starting pitching staff and 'overrated' bullpen as you call it.

Giancarlo Stanton has played nine games for #Yankees this season.

Nine.

And yet they have baseball’s best record along with a 10-game lead in the AL East

The ROY (I don't care what anyone says) played 12 games. Betances and Severino played 0.

In 162 games people will hit rough patches. The staff has been lights out the last month.

Bullpen second lowest era in majors for July and in any case I take starter out before he gives up 8 runs especially when he clearly didn't have it.

Our starters got lit in minny, are their hitters really this great or does Minnesota play in a band box?
The one thing I do know is this crap isn't baseball.
8-6 loss, 14-12 win win, now 9-6 halfway through this game.

Moose, of course, everytime a player struggles, it's because he's hiding an injury. I swear to you, I was watching Sanchez Tuesday, and said to myself, the phantom injury bs will come up and that will be why he sucks now.
But wait, are you telling me that he been hiding the bs injury for a month? So the trainers, no one on the staff saw anything? Then everyone should be fired. What a load of crap.

More last thing about players that hide injuries, and hurt their team because they won't produce ala Sanchez, if you get caught hiding injuries then teams should be able to suspend then 5 games without pay, for hurting the team.
Then and only then, players won't hide their injuries.

Moose, would you trust the start 5 in the playoffs? Yeah, they might MIGHT pitch good, there's also a chance that they could pull this bs, in the the starters hasn't reached the 5inning for 4 consecutive games.
You can't say you have alot of confidence in the pen either. Adam is shaky, seems like everytime Zach inherits a runner, that base runner scores. I like what I'm seeing from Chad, but it took an amazing catch by Hicks to save the game. Even with Chapmam you hope that he has control, or you get what you saw last night.
Gotta hope the hitters remain savages.

game 101.
is anyone hotter than didi?
the daily old school redmen why was he even born award goes to twinkie pitcher odorizzi.
the daily old school redmen savage of the game award goes to the tauch, distant runnerups - gio, romine.
the first ever old school redmen sanchez/slump/sucks award goes to the yankee starting rotation.
y'll have to be concerned with the very poor showing of the yankee starters & boone's slow hook..
the twinkies are a contender - are their bats great or is the yankee starters lacking or both?
the yankee sticks are great - 15 hits - no matter who boone uses, they hit.
kraken is hurt - the last few games his "running" to first base was timed with an hour glass.

I'm not baseball fan but I do know that the Twins have the most HR's AND highest team batting average in the majors this year. Checked and they have also scored the 3rd most runs and have the highest OPS. Maybe holding them to 2 runs and 7 hits is not as easy as it sounds.

Hey Moose, another shit performance by a starter, 7 in the 1st giving up by Tanaka.
Yanks won't win shit with this crap pitching, and please don't give me the "the season a marathon." BS.
5 staight games of horrible pitching.

I guess the savages gotta win it, the pitching isn't holding their own.

Omg five straight game of bad pitching. What a travesty

Guess what. The pitching answer isn’t out there.

Giants aren’t trading Mad Bum now
Stroman isn’t the answer.
Bauer likely not traded either
Minor isn’t.
Wheeler isn’t
Thor likely would never be traded to Yankees.
Should I keep going. The pitching market is poor. Pitching is damn poor this year all over the League
