lynn does not have it today.
seeing the game versus reading the box score.
the only inning lynn was 3 up/down. 3 ropes were hit off him. 2 good defensive plays. all 3 batters could have been on.
2 key doubles against lynn were by lefties that hit balls barely fair down the left field line.
the old saying - "baseball is a game of inches". that's what she said when ...

"Lynn does not have it today."

I couldn't agree more......9 hits, 1 walk, 90+ pitches in less than 4 complete innings........he should have been removed long ago, instead of being left in long enough to give up 5 runs.

Wait can we still blame him?[/quote]

I wasn't home today, went to six flags.
Read espn's play by play there was 2 outs in the 4th, and the score 3-2.
If Lynn gets Jones it's only 3-2 going to the bottom of the 4th.
But Jones got a 2RBIs double, so he looks bad.
If I'm the manager I let Lynn pitch to Jones, and if he gets a hit, then take Lynn out, which is exactly what Boone did today. My problem with him is other games after that Jones hit, he would still leave him him.

As a manager, you need to know when to take a pitcher out. I'm the LaRusa type, if you're getting hit, I won't have much patience then.

I think Moose was being sarcastic. Since you didn't watch, you may not know that Boone was suspended for this game, due to that little act he put on Friday night.

lol I didn't know.
Thanks

i would give the wc playoff ball to tanaka.
yanks are 5 homers over the pace set by the mariners when they set single season mlb record for homers.

Thinking ahead. Tanaka or Severino gets the WC start. Assuming they win the other one starts game 1 of division series, followed probably by Happ and then whichever starter started the WC game.

In other words their first 3 playoff starters are clearly Severino, Tanaka and Happ in jo particular order.

Question, assuming they go with 4 starters who is the 4th? Sabathia?

Sabathia of course. Heck h might get the ball ahead of Severino right now. Tanaka gets the WC and if they advance, Happ gets game one.

looks like both sanchez & didi are back & healthy.

talk to y'all on wednesday, as tuesday we pause to remember....

When Judge gets back, we'll have 5 out fielders.
In the postseason do we go with 4 or 5
Judge Stanton Hicks are sure bets, if we go with 4, who will or be
McCutchen or Gardner.

Not counting on much from Judge even if and when he comes back. Pain in the wrist not conducive to hitting especially for a power hitter.

The best starting pitcher in baseball spins another gem.

lol Oakland continues to kick ass, 10-0, meanehile the Yanks continue to lose, same crap diff day.
Everyone knows Oakland is getting home field, and we're done in oakland, oh well.

Yeah we really missed the great Sanchise huh, avg down to 186, yep we really missed him, he hit into another dp if the 2nd basemen didn't fumble the ball.

Glad footballs here.
