Yankees - 2018
getty goners are back in the bronx.
chapman continues to make my heart flutter.
espken - i have not seen your posts in a long, long time.
but what the heck does "boards dont hit back " mean in yankee lingo?
is it the picture above?
As a lifelong bomber fan, the disappointing record against inferior opponents has me perturbed. Although the disappointment started before the season by not retaining Girardi and hiring a mgr with no experience.

Anyway, for those familiar with Enter the Dragon, just a friendly reminder to fellow Yankee fans:

Bob Wall breaking boards = Yanks beating bottom feeders.

Lets keep it going, get healthy and take care of business in October!!!

Prior to the 4 game sweep in Fenway, the biggest difference between the teams, and why the yanks weren't in first place, was because Boston beat up on all the mediocre/bad teams they played while the Yanks did not. The Yanks record against good teams was actually very good before the Sox sweep.

I said to a friend after the Sunday night disaster - let's see if we can go out and feast on this schedule over the next month. Boston cools down a bit and all of a sudden we get to early September and things are interesting again in the divsion. The past 4 have gone exactly as I hoped and let's see if the Yanks can continue that roll.

so i am watching the game & its the top of ninth inning.
chapman comes in, so i tape the game from that point on.
half hour later i watch the 9th inning but watch it fast forward.
this way the pain of seeing chapman turn my stomach goes faster.
i still got agita but the yanks win. baby bombers are back.

Back to say one thing.

Boone is a F'ING RETARDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.
When AJ Cole came in I'm saying why this guy.
WellFrazier the first batter he faces, HR.
Since that, two more HRs, not only that, but Cole STAYS IN TO WALK THE NEXT GUY.

Again Boone is a retard, leaves pitchers in to long.

I'll probably get a warning, but is it not the truth.
I'm not a manager, and I know what pitchers not to put in.

BRING BACK GIRARDI PLEASE. I'M AT THE POINT WHERE I CAN'T STAND BOONE.

At that point it was 4-3 going to the top of the 6th.

I would have put in Robertson there, he last pitched on Saturday and threw 15 pitches, and go Betances in the 7th who also last pitched on Saturday throwing 15 pitches.
Here's the thing Cole gave up 3 solo shots and how many runs did the Yanks lose by??? 3
Lastly, why does Boone wait so damn long to take out a pitcher that's struggling, I could see a blowout, yeah let him pitch his way out of the inning, game is over anyway, but with how the Yanks can score, it wasn't over.

What's up with Britton? 3 more hits against him, giving up a run.
I know he was on the dl, but hope he turns it around because Sept.

I can't say I would have brought in Robertson but surprised Green only went 1. I mean at this rate his arm will fall off ala Proctor and Sturtze but he hadn't pitched in 3 days. He could have gone more than 1 inning.

Here's an idea regarding Sev, and trust me, I really hate babying pitchers, but you don't just go from dominating everyone (14-2 1.98ERA), to getting smack around bad. Something has to be wrong with him.

Is he tiredi? Well I'd shut him down the next 3 starts: (via espn)
Aug 18 vs Tor, Aug 25 vs Balt, the they have him pitching on the 29th which is only 3 days rest, I'm sure he's pitch on the 30th. Bring up Chance or Justice and think of it as on the job experience, in key Aug games. If the one who is called up dominates then go to a 6-man rotation, if not then 5-man and he goes to the pen, in sept is the call ups anyway.

So there's an option. Boone says they tried everything, well lets see if they're smart enough to try a common sense thing, RESTTTTTTT.

He's not tired. If you are throwing 97 and 99 with still movement its not an arm issue. He has to be tipping in some way. They have to know what's coming because you cant go from un-hittable for how many month to bad.

I’m freaking livid. Bases loaded. Nobody out. The waste of a roster spot Bird swings at the first pitch and fouls out. Old man Gardner strikes out. Romine strikes out. Game over.
For next year, it’s time to admit that Bird is not the answer. Time to let him fly away. It’s time for Gardy to retire. This team desperately needs players that can get a clutch hit. Not a home run. Just a simple freaking single. Ughhhhhh.

Below .500 record versus Baltimore and Tampa Bay.

thinking of taking Nathalie to the game sunday ( unlike me she roots for winning teams ). Any of you guys going to be there sunday ?

Agree with you on Bird but not on Gardner.

Oh, and that was the type of game we would pull out earlier in the season when we were hot. Not now though.
