See my last post. I think this can change, but also didn't mind the Dingle and Alleyne backcourt tonight. And as Wilcher progresses I wouldn't be surprised to see some of that too.Dingle plays better w/o Jenkins

Love him. Everything about him. And he has room for growth too.If Taylor has taken a bad shot all season then I’ve missed it. The kid is the definition of a team player. Wow.
Hall beat them last year in Newark too. Wild.Hall thumping UCONN
Love this post.I paid extra attention to Jenkins tonight since Marillac has been posting about his play so much. There is still room for growth with him looking to set up Dingle, in particular, when he's in the game. Twice in three first half trips Jenkins came off a Soriano pick into the key/foul line area, drew a defender and had Dingle open for a wide open 3. That's exactly the scenario we want Dingle shooting. No doubt the staff sees this, of course, and probably addresses it during practice and film sessions.
All that said, I do think Jenkins is "reigning it in" a bit more compared to prior games. He took less shots than Soriano, Ledlum, Dingle, and Alleyne tonight. He had 5 assists to 2 turnovers. As fans I think we are going to have to live with the one or two crazy inexplicable passes a game, which is fine, just like we will have to live with one or two crazy, inexplicable shots. But as long as he minimizes that it's all good.
The boys clearly were well prepared for X and digested the scouting report, it seemed. Early, for example, Ledlum was playing way off the young Euro kid that X starts at the 4. He made 1 three but otherwise was 1 for 7. The kid is shooting below 30% from three point range and we were going to let him bomb away until he gave us a reason to adjust.
We beat them last year when they were in a mini-rut. And either right before or right after Hall beat them at home, I believe.Would have rather caught them maybe sleeping on us then coming off a loss and probably more focused.
Jenkins has a role, but it’s not this volume scorer/passer. He had some dimes today to Soriano, but even on those he dribbled the sh*t out of the ball and alienated 3 other players.I paid extra attention to Jenkins tonight since Marillac has been posting about his play so much. Their backup 5 is pretty good too, though. The Samson kid from Jersey, I think.A week of rehab is best for his future
There is always a place for a Rasheem Dunn type who literally can’t be guarded. Those types either make it or they miss it and there’s not a goddamn thing a defender can do because they are so wild.Love this post.
Daniss has a lot of potential to be a really good microwave scorer for us.
There’s just gonna be those moments where someone needs to simply unplug the microwave
I get what you're saying but if we had 5 Taylors on the floor half our possessions would end in shot clock violations or contested chucks at the buzzer. I really like Taylor but he's not starting offense with the ball in his hands unless the defense is already scrambling and/or he's attacking a closeoutJenkins has a role, but it’s not this volume scorer/passer. Is there anyone that thinks that Jenkins is THAT much more skilled than Taylor facilitating to warrant this extreme usage? Because Taylor puts the team first every time. He passes on good shots for great shots. Jenkins is the exact opposite.
The best we looked all season was when Jenkins was on the bench with 4 fouls and literally all 5 guys touched the ball 3 straight possessions.
5 Taylors would be an issue but toss in Soriano, Dingle, Alleyne, and Ledlum and let the ball move around. Pick your spots. Lean on Soriano and Dingle for volume. I’m fine with those two taking tough shots and the other 3 taking only good shots.I get what you're saying but if we had 5 Taylors on the floor half our possessions would end in shot clock violations or contested chucks at the buzzer. Like him but think he's got a way to go before being mentioned in he same breath as those two, espeiially Sir Dom.Sorry if this was mentioned before but Taylor does so many things well. Sir Dom, Justin Simon etc
