Kevin Warren is a serious dude, the Commissioner of the Big10. Came over from Minnesota Vikings organization. Rumored to be an heir to Roger Goddell, whenever he would retire. He's building his own league, already has the Big10 cable network, access to markets across the nation from New York [Rutgers] to Los Angeles.
 
The P12 commish is one of the most incompetent people in sports. It has always boggled my mind that the P12 was the one major conference whose games were on a network that is unavailable for the majority of the country. Not surprising to me that they are left standing in this game of musical chairs

League has two divisions:
SJU/Seton Hall/GTown/Nova/Prov/uConn/TBD
Kansas/Zags/Creighton/Marquette/Depaul/Xavier/Butler

play your Div twice= 10 games / Other div once - 6games
 
As far as Kansas rumors, I've always believed it. If you have a crap football program, it doesn't seem to matter how great your basketball program is. You run the risk of being stuck in a crap conference when everything shakes out. I actually thought Wake Forest to Big East would happen first though because I thought ACC would be next conference to crumble from poaching.

Not sure why Clemson, FSU, Miami, NC St., Georgia Tech, Louisville, Virginia Tech and Syracuse/Pitt/BC haven't already tried to merge with Big 12.

*Actually scratch that. I guess I forgot Big 12 is bringing in Houston, UCF, BYU, and Cincy. Although if I'm BYU I'd prefer Pac 12 membership.

I can't believe this mess is going to happen all over again.

Add Dayton to our division and that’s a great conference. Dayton is going to have a Top 25 team this year with a team primarily made up of sophomores

Notre Dame has to worry about more than Football; it competes in many other men's and women's sports which is what their affiliation with the ACC while the ACC let them keep the independent Football designation in exchange for adding some ACC games to detriment of losing long term rivalries with Michigan and Michigan State. They have to determine the declining ACC as some of their power FB taems leave for self survival.

With "super conferences" could see NCAA offer 2 berths in March Madness- one for each division.
 
Big East to should try to add Kansas and Syracuse as west/east additions. Both teams have abysmal football programs and when the dust settles may have nowhere else to go.
