Where is the mystery candidate?
Maybe the committee is waiting for Sunday in the hopes that someone like John Wooden rises from the dead. At least we don't need to worry about him going back to UCLA
Funny, as I was about to type we should get the ghosts of Wooden, Dean Smith, Ray Meyer and Rick Majerus as our next staff.
Odom is solid candidate
Not familiar with him. Related to the old Odom from Wake Forest ?

anyone know if he's been interviewed/contacted by Cragg?
Tomorrow has interview

Ryan Odom (HC), GSJ (AC and to hold on to LJ), Andy Borman (AC and NYC recruiting), and one more assistant is perhaps a scenario where all is not lost ...

Yes! I am on board with that one. Throw in Hsu and it's a homerun staff.
Seth Greenberg
He likes the studio and there are better options.

But as I've probably stated before, never understood why Paul Hewitt was the successful recruiter and Seth wasn't known as one. Hewitt is an absolute dud with a mic in his face and Greenberg has the gift of gab. How that never registered with big-time recruits and their families still amazes me.

Supposedly he expressed interest
He's a better choice than Frank Haith

If we have to hold on to St. Jean to retain Figueroa, then we're already screwed IMO. As much, as I would love to retain Figueroa, as I like his game and court demeanor.... If we have to retain St. Jean to keep him on board, then "bye bye" LJ!

Frankly, I don't think we have to retain St. Jean for Figueroa to remain on board. I just think he has to feel comfortable with the next staff, and he'll then return.

I would definitely be on board with Odom and a strong well constructed staff. Keep a spot for GSJ and I think we return several players who are considering transfer options.

I'm shocked by that. Maybe he saw that we were going to commit $17.6 million to Porter Moser and figured what the hell.

I've been trying to keep a positive attitude throughout this process, but if Haith or Jones is hired there is no way in hell I am renewing my season tickets or giving any sort of donation to the athletic department in the near future.

I like Odom at lot. I also would be ok with Cluess or Boynton. Unfortunately with Odom I doubt that if he turned down an ACC school like VA Tech that he would be willing to come here unless we offered him a ridiculous contract.

That was my sentiment on GSJ encapsulated in the term LJ :)

Was early in the process.
