When Keita Returns

4 weeks until we really, really need him. Hopeful recovery will stay on track.
I think he was hurt November 9th and they said 4-6 weeks.
The surgery was done 5 days later though, and that's when they came up with the recovery time.

Don't tell us that. The doom and gloomers will be all over your case about good news. Plus, when he does come back, all they will do is complain about a few fouls he makes getting up to speed, just like when he was playing his first games in two years.

Chris Mullin tells me there is no update on Sedee Keita. #sjubb

Also, SJU stationary bike has a hernia.

Good thing is that we have some time. I want to see him healthy for league play if possible.

Surprising St. John's stats: Five games since Sedee Keita was hurt, have been out-rebounded by just one and are plus-three on offensive glass. #sjubb

Brings back bad memories. But still a little over 3 weeks before we need him so hoping for the best.

How is that possible?

Well just stating the obvious, but in the past 5 games, the combined opponents have missed more shots than us, so we've had more chances for defensive rebounds.

As far as offensive rebounds, as you saw last game vs Georgia Tech, we have several capable guards and forwards who can hit the glass.

What type of hernia? Upper or lower inguinal ? Will he need surgery on that also? Something tells me we won’t bring seeing Mr. Keita again this season. This has disaster written all over it. Maybe I’m just jaded after Lovett last season but this doesn’t sound promising.

Better comparison would be Darien Williams.

May be missing something here...but I think Paultz was jokingly referring to the stationary bike having a hernia ????

Yes, pretty obvious.

Gang rebounding. It's a great mindset when you don't have big men to rely on.

Playing weak teams helps also.

Rebounding is about effort not talent. We haven't been the biggest team in any game this year.
