@West Virginia, Fri., Dec. 1, 7p, ESPN-2

I like that Pitino is still on these guys. Stay on their ass until they get to conference play and perform well. Then if they’re actually good let the praise flow a little more freely. I’d rather they go in thinking they’ve got something to prove than floating on wins over weak teams and hollow coach praise. Hopefully they can win this road game by 10 and stay focused for the next one.

Honestly the non-conference game I’m most nervous about right now is Hofstra. I’m getting bad vibes about that game already. Hopefully we win by 25 and I’m crazy but right now I see basically every single indicator of a trap game falling into place. Good chance I’m just bored and looking ahead in between St John’s games but I don’t like anything about that game.
Should not be a trap. Our coach and players gotta know that coach and those players wanna win that game any more then whats on their schedual.

ESPN went from 40-60 to 47-53 as of today. This feels like a must win, though I know it really isn't.

Also, Duke sucks.
Maybe it isn't but if sju can't take advantage of them going only 6 deep then maybe we don't deserve to be in the ncaa tourny.

Just how I feel.

Stat's don't lie.
"Figures often beguile me," Twain wrote, "particularly when I have the arranging of them myself; in which case the remark attributed to Disraeli would often apply with justice and force: 'There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.'"

PS I love me some statistics. My eyes ain't so good.

I wrote an entire post specifically saying him and sealy I wasn’t comparing the player just that they were both silky smooth. But Larrry we are sju Wright doesn’t mention that. I’m assuming his adhd has to do with watching clsssoc 70s and 80s porn when he’s posting
I posted that he reminds me of a taller Ponds — which is one of my favorite players. He’s very smooth…not the best defender but will be a big steals guy. Unreal touch and good shooter with feel for the game.

I’ve also been the one throwing cold water on him for this season (like him waaaaayyyyy more for next season), but I’ve changed my tune since seeing the deficiencies in the backcourt and realizing we need to patch that up with some playmaking and passing in the aggregate…namely from the 3-5.

West Virginia GAME

"In his nearly 20-minute session with reporters ahead of Friday’s trip to West Virginia, he focused on St. John’s shortcomings."

Posters are discussing our coaches comments from a press conference leading up to this game.

If thats not fair game and posters are required to discuss the actual basketball game, then these threads should just be locked until tip off
