Welcome Kadary Richmond!

I was traveling and turned on the FAN and this was announced just before the Tiki and Evan Show. Evan gave out a chuckle and Tiki mistook it for him being happy. Evan is a St. John’s fan but not a fan of Kadary evidently. He said he would go into it later but if he did, it was after I tuned off.

He is not much of a college basketball fan but he roots for Seton Hall. He laughed at St. John’s being left out of tournament.

He is a fraud that appears every March

I can't wait to watch Kadary become an SJU legend over the next 4 years. I mean next 3 years. I mean next 2 years. I mean next few months.
Would it be more palatable to just pretend he's a stud freshman who's able to move on to the draft after one stellar season?

Correct!!!! 😄

Geez, never satisfied, Yeah, i agree!
I am extremely happy, but satisfied...lol...I need a deep tourney run. My soul needs to at least get to the second weekend in March Madness. I have been hungry for it since 99. I thought the time between 91s elite 8 run and 99s was long but this 25 year drought is killing me. So I will be happy with what Rick puts together but I want more more more more more. 🤣🤣🤣

From Zach B.

Spoke to Rick Pitino about the additions of Kadary Richmond and Deivon Smith. A few quotes.

Comparing them to Peyton Siva and Russ Smith:

"Russ and Peyton were lightning-quick players who were great basketball players and these two guys are great basketball players and so is Siim. We have three great basketball players and we have two freshmen who are going to be great down the road in [top 50 recruit] Jaiden Glover and the young man from Greece [Lefteris Liotopoulos]."

On the roster:

"What I wanted more than anything else is to have guys who can put the ball on the floor, pass the ball, score the ball. Be very quick laterally as well as up and down the court to push the pace. When you have RJ, Sim, Brady and these guys we just added - Zuby is a great runner - we're just very athletic now and it's going to be very exciting for the style of play we want to play."

"I think our staff and [general manager] Matt Abdelmassih did a phenomenal job. We said we're going to be patient and wait," Pitino said. "We're very, very excited and we're a power forward away from putting together a great roster."

Mark it down. You heard it here first.

We're going to lead the nation in lateral quickness!

Very interesting to see people lukewarm on this move. Who knew we would get to the point where St John’s fans would “meh” the near unanimous Number 1 player available to transfer.
I think it has a lot to do with his on-court demeanor at times while at Seton Hall.
While a very dangerous offensive threat, he sometimes failed to defend at the highest level for his talent.
If Pitino is able to harness his attitude to fit his new role, he can be a program changer.

A better question might be how did St John’s ever let Richmond to get away to Syracuse first and then Seton Hall next ?
If he never got away , he wouldn’t have to come home .
Rumor was Kadary wanted SJU before going to Seton Hall but CMA did not have a scholarship available because he was saving his last one for a recruit who never ended up choosing us. Not sure if this was true or rumor only.

Have a feeling that Kadary will buy in to Rick's "Play for the name on the front of your jersey approach".

Great to see Rick say this about the staff and what a brilliant move by him hiring Matt to deal with this NIL and portal stuff which he clearly excels big time at. What a dynamic staff that Rick hired

Read the Seton Hall message board and that's what one poster wrote. JE SAID kadary wanted to come here initially.
