Welcome John McGriff

I like the acquisition, although, I see him playing sparingly this year.

We will add another guard.

I’m in favor of putting Dee on hiatus at least. He’s not a fan of the program. This stuff is tiresome and he’s just flaming the board.

I agree Dee's rants are very tiresome and his negativity wears on me.
But I don't think he's slammed anybody 'personally'.
And there is such a thing as 'free speech' if not personally abusive.
Just sayin'.
The kid is 5'9" he wont be able to see over the defenders. He is at best a reserve and not big east quality. It is a joke. I noticed how our departed recruiter took Mack with him. He is an SOB . McGriff is the best they can do. We are grabbing the scraps. Like dogs that grab a bone after it has been eaten. I really feel sorry for st John's and the program. I loved the team and now it is destroyed. It is sad. Very sad. I blame the President and that idiot AD from Duke. Only way to improve the program is to send your message. Cancel all season tickets.
I guess you have not seen guys like Muggsy Bogues. Little guys can play.

Agree. I’m not in favor of banning. Just gets tiresome.

I like what I'm hearing:
- NYC Kid
- Tough
- Great Handle

If he can distribute the ball, find the open man and play some defense, we will be competitive. However, I still say you have to give Greg Williams a shot at PG too.
A handful of y'all are looking for trouble, if you want Williams manning the point. I don't see anything about Williams that tells me he can run the PG position.

By the way, McGriff isn't a NYC kid.
He is a Queens kid now :)

No matter how this ultimately turns out, we've turned a page, and there's hope for the future.

Jay Wright once told me a story about his very first recruit at Hofstra, a kid from Holy Cross who was 6th man. His HS coach told Wright the kid would go through a wall for him and he wouldn't regret signing him. Wright, many years later, related the story and said "And his coach was correct."

Hoping Anderson's first SJU recruit works out as well.

Like the idea of getting high character players that fit CMAs system who will compliment one another and work as a time.

Baltimore kid
Wrong Huntington I guess:blush: Baltimore is close enough to make the point.
Could be argued that Baltimore is grittier than NYC nowadays. Hell, it’s certainly grittier than Huntington, LI. ;)
obviously you haven’t seen the line at little Vincent’s pizza at 3am after everyone has been at the bars for 5 hours :)
Have to get some cold mozz on that hot Lil Vincent's slice.
Nothing better after a night out
The kid is 5'9" he wont be able to see over the defenders.
Pretty sure he'll be able to just go around them.
