Let's say we beat Marquette, lose to Nova; and win the first game in the big east tournament.... any chance this team is a 7 seed? Or is that dreaming?

8/9 seed winner plays a #1 seed in second round.

I think so, but that is why beating Marquette is so important. Also, it keeps us rolling because I think Nova is beatable too. Just have to get Ochefu in foul trouble.

No one wants to lose the next 3 games. But we are in regardless. SOS and RPI is too good, and a number of top 50 wins.

Win Marquette. Nova is gravy. I want to play on at least the Friday night of the Big East tourney. Garden will be rocking and would be an awesome atmosphere. And if we get to a Sat night game that place is going to be electric.
 
I just want this group to get healthy. We truly are a dangerous team if everyone is near or at 100%.

TX, you're going about being greedy all wrong. If you are being greedy then why not go all the way.
Win the damn BE and and the NCAA tourny's. It might not happen, but that's what I want.

Now on a serious note, and I don't care what Lunardi and all the experts say. I won't get to happy and excited until there is no doubt about going to the ncaa tourny.
Lets win one more, if we beat Marquette, I'd sit DLo, and Chris. Think I give a damn if nova wins by 30? Hell no.

Gotta get healthy for the B.E. tourny, lets win it.

Don't want the 8 because looking at the potential second round matchups, we've played Villanova, Duke, and Gonzaga already, so they would have us up against Wisconsin, Virginia, or Kentucky, all obviously tough games. I'd want Kentucky. If you're going to be the man, you've got to beat the man.

We don't have enough size for Kentucky. I'd take Virgina or a rematch with Duke or Gonzaga if we are an 8 seed and win in the first round. We are obviously getting way ahead of ourselves but it's fun to actually talk about the "real" tourney.
 
I'd like another shot at Duke and would prefer that to Gonzaga, Nova or Virginia but would like to play Kentucky in the championship game... ;)

us too. that's what we did last year. I forget which one I like better so will try both again
 
LOL I just want to get in - and I think we are there. Win versus Marquette and get to Friday night in the Big East and we can start thinking about what type of seed we'll have.
 
St. John’s: The Johnnies are all but in the tournament after beating Georgetown convincingly on Saturday. They won the two games they needed to win this week, and now have five top 50 wins and a 9-7 record against the top 100. The only reason they’re not a lock yet? They still have to play at Marquette, and St. John’s has a penchant for not playing up to their ability away from home. But even with a loss at Marquette and at Villanova in the finale, the Johnnies still might be in with a loss in the first round of the Big East tournament.
