I don’t mind the turnovers. I mind the bad shots. Just because you hit a bad shot doesn’t mean it wasn’t a bad shot. He took (and made) a step back 3 when he was 1-4 from 3…24.6% on the year. That’s just stupid. He didn’t even look for anyone either.

Joel was eating Dixon alive and he got 9 shots.
It is not always easy to get the ball to Joel.
He does not have good hands and when double teamed can be a turnover machine

From Zach B's article on Brady:
“I would say it’s a surprise just given the way the trajectory of the season was going for myself,” Dunlap said. “At the same time, I never lost my confidence in who I am as a player. Me and [fellow freshman Simeon Wilcher] — that’s like my best friend right now — and every time we didn’t play, we would go back to the dorm and talk about if we were in the game what we could’ve done to help the team.

“He’s just my guy and he’s helped me a ton with my confidence. I’ve helped him with his. He’s always kept me ready.”

You don't just build a good team with these kinds of kids. These are the kinds of kids who help you build a culture.

This is exciting! For the second and last time - my apologies to Brady. You have backed up your coming out party with an even finer outing. You've earned whatever minutes you garner from here out. I was wrong about you. Encouraging that we won in spite of a subpar outing from our Robin. Of course subpar for him includes game highs in assists, steals, +/- (+13) rating, and a plethora of timely momentum changing plays. Plus finally 40% 3 point shooting. For one day at least silencing the primary complaint of our myopic beloved board brethren.

Not remotely sure why your Jenkins rant was in answer to a post that had nothing to do with him but, okay. Glad you enjoyed the win… BTW, 2nd game in a row Jenkins came up very big down the stretch. He is not the Big O but he is a pretty damn good player.
Agreed. He is learning. He is a 2 guard learning to play the point and growing every game. He did drive me crazy in the UConn game that we should have won.
Clayton was the point guard at Iona and is killing it at Florida. He had 23 tonight bs Kentucky.
That’s whe Pitino thinks he has a pretty good back court at Iona

If I was going to put $ on anyone to bring my post game buzz down this was an easy call :)

Sincelerly

The Elitest
Easy call, but I'll give him credit for having balls to show his face on here and state his opinion, as outlandish as it is. He's a better man than some of the naysayers who are to cowardly to show their faces and admit that they were wrong. Those clowns were never real SJU fans to begin with. F'in trolls

Funny thing is I know who you are talking about well at least 1 person who only posts after losses

If Rick wanted Daniss to take less shots, I have no doubt that he'd be taking less shots. Rick has obviously given him the green light and right now Rick is pushing all the right buttons. It we were losing I'd feel differently, but we're not. So let's let Rick handle Daniss while we all kick back and enjoy the ride.

Cant wait for Brady to add some weight (lol), get some upper body flexibility, and get a more athletic defensive stance. Maybe as he gains strength his handle will improve too. His future looks bright.

When was the last time a ball hog averaged 6 assists a game for us? I’ll wait
Good thing Pitino knows a wee bit more about the game than you do….:ROFLMAO:
Good or bad. Jenkins is a baller. He defenses and works his butt off. He can drive - he can pull up and he can also hit the 3 at times and that will improve - he may lead the BE in assists. He is only skimming the surface in the BE and should be 4 and 0. I think we all should say job well done and thank you

After he makes a shot I love that little downward raised arm hand dip that he does after some shots

Again, your entire argument for why Posh wasn’t good was because he shot 25% from 3 on 2 shots per game. Jenkins is shooting 24.6% and takes more than twice as many shots and you love him? It makes no sense. Nobody on this forum would say Jenkins is the better defender…even you couldn’t say that. They are both wild distributors with similar flaws there. So where is this major upgrade?

We were up 15 when Jenkins was 1-6 from the field. We won this game in spite of his shooting. He actually had the ball in his hands way less than usual today and it looked to be by design.

People are either going to be okay with a guy shooting 24% from 3 doing a step-back without making an effort to get any teammates involved or they are going to hate it. It’s really not a mystery.

Take 5 less shots a game and everyone would shut up.
Just had a tremendous win and you cannot give praise to your point guard. The 5 point play was instrumental. He was a 2 guard at Iona with the point guard killing it at Florida. 25 vs Kentucky tonight.
Can you admit he is improving every game and his athleticism is far superior than the guard from last year.
Did not even notice Alexander in the 2nd half last game.
We won and are getting better. Should be 4 -0 in the BE

Rick Pitino adamantly and very obviously disagrees with you... I for one, will put my faith into a HOF coach and continue to chuckle at your 'Jenkins sucks rants'
He is getting better every game !! As he is learning to play point he embarrassed your boy Alexander in the 2nd half. The other Iona guard had 23 against Kentucky tonight.
He is a baller
