Villanova (MSG), Wed., Jan. 24, 8:30p, FS-1

I am not sure what you guys saw but he was not off the ball most of the night. Wilcher started but Jenkins ran the point and Nova’s run in the first half
came with Jenkins on the bench with Dingle running the show.
Jenkins was off the ball for 2/3’s of the first half. We went on a big run with him on the bench at one point too before Nova started to close it. Second half he was on the ball more but still not as much as other games.

For those waiting at the edge of their keyboards for the post game “ can mjmaherjr avoid Roses Pizza before his 11:20 Huntington Train “ mjmaherjr did the impossible and avoided it with the help of like 6 mini burger pregame sliders at the 1870 stout event “

We’re waiting on the halftime picture Mike!!

I think all the coaches in the league watching Jenkins off the ball are letting out a collective “oh shit.”

I’ve got zero problem with Dingle dribbling ball off foot there. He should have been able to make those mistakes earlier in the year, but still time to learn from them.
Dingle:note to self-do not dribble ball off foot. Lesson learned. 😉

It’s on its own thread. Look a few threads below the game thread

Agree about the run as several of our reserves were in and did a fantastic job. There run came with him on the bench and when they cut it close in the second half, we made sure he was running the show at that point.

He definitely took some bad shots but overall did a nice job with no silly fouls.

Up to 5 wins without having played DePaul or Georgetown yet.

Joel is back. Need this version of him the rest of the season. He opened the gap between him and Zuby again and not because Zuby did anything bad, he was solid again too.

Don't think anybody else played particularly well offensively but nobody was bad either. Everybody played smart for the most part especially Taylor who never takes bad shots.

Defense was great. Thought we were somewhat lucky in first 30 mins with Nova missing some open shots again but the D was suffocating once Nova got as close as 5.

Good time for a week off. Everybody gets a little reset to get healthy and don't have to be on edge in the midst of a losing streak all week.
Defense was suffocating all first half!

Jenkins 2.5 to’s a game
Only credited with 2 this game thought was double that
Jenkins gave up the ball in the closing seconds for the second time that I’ve noticed to avoid the charged turnover. Zuby was man enough to take it on his behalf. Not a good look. Ledlum took one earlier in the year for him.

Huge win. This buys the team a ton of wiggle room on the right side of the bubble.

Neptune is awful. He’s gotta go at season’s end. Nova can’t show up with him against Pitino, Smart, Miller, Holloway, McDermott, Hurley, etc. It’s like bringing a knife to a gun fight.
Its like all the fundamentals Jay Wright taught them are all again. Like head fakes, pivoting for position. Only
One who still does it well is Dixon
