USF may not be a "very good team," but they surely aren't a bad team. You think this is the same USF teams from a few years ago, huh?
USF is 3-2 in the conference and their only losses were a 3-point loss to UCONN and on the road versus Notre Dame. They smoked 'Nova and beat Seton Hall over the weekend. They are experienced and have plenty of depth.
Some of you can't see the forest for the trees.

One bright spot tonight is Phil Greene. Solid game. Has been fairly good with the ball and has taken good shots. Glad to see a few go down for him.

All concerned, no doubt no one more then Dunlap. He should of and would have cleared the bench in first half, but he doesn't want the kids leaving program. He's got 12 games left to get the stink off. I hope coach Gene not getting sick. Harrison and the rest gotta realize they're awful before they can move forward. High 5's should be banned. I hope Steve brings in some top 200's who can be coached to mix in with these kids.
This group has 6 assists compared to 12 turnovers. They haven't proved they can shoot at all (in fact, they may be statistically one of the worst three point shooting teams in college basketball). And they haven't been able to defend the deep ball all year.
How do you figure four freshmen are somehow going to change all that?
These guys will all be sophs, we'll have a PG, size up front, shotblocking, rebounding help. Same reason why USF sucked last year and is good this year. It's a simple formula. These kids will get a lot better over time. We are extremely thin. Just because a big east team made up of 6 freshmen are struggling as a group doesn't mean we can't be a lot better with a year of experience, practice, and the addition of another half of a team.
It's moronic to take stats during one game and use them as a harbinger for the future. We're massively undermanned, and missing players at crucial spots. USF has about 5 guys at are 6'9"+. We have zero. We have ONE PF/C on our roster. It will certainly change a lot entering next year.

You might have just added 4 starters to the current team. Whats that say about this bunch. I don't think the posters here nuts for being upset with what we saw tonight. This kind of play enough to drive kids away who want to come.
That's absurd. A loss drive kids away? Kids commit because of the coach and playing time. This bunch is going to be very good. We were totally undermanned and undersized in this one. Recruits know that as well.
If you don't get it by now, then I can't explain it. We don't have enough players and are barely fielding a team right now. The ones who are on the team were high schoolers a few months ago. It will certainly change when we actually have a PG, depth, some post players and maybe another shooter/scorer.
