USF Game.

2 points in the first 4 minutes of the second half and down fifteen to a poorly coached terrible USF team.
Can it get worse?

USF has only lost one conference game at home (3 point loss to UCONN). They just beat a pretty, decent Seaton Hall team at home over the weekend.

They aren't as bad, as you might think. At least, not on their home court.

Time to play a straight 2-3 zone.... We are not forcing any turnovers and are getting killed by gambling!!!

Doesn't it concern anyone that our players have shown virtually no improvement at all this season? Same mistakes, game in and game out. And this may be the worst group of shooters I've ever seen on th basketball court.

We have improved. We just have no size and no pg. it creates problems all around. We are half of a high school roster out there. You expect us to look like polished vets?

First time all season I'm going to say this:

Lavin needs to put more of a premium on recruiting shooters. If you can't put guys out there that can shoot from the perimeter, you are going to have scoring droughts.

Getting athletic wings like Dom and Amir are great, they produce great mixtapes on youtube, but int he halfcourt, they can't knock down shots consistently, or at least haven't yet. It's fine to have 1, but you don't need to double up on guys at 6'7 that can't shoot a lick.

Need to find a kid this spring that can knock down shots, in addition to the obvious size issues.

A lot of it is a function of having ZERO bench. Nobody to go to and as kids tire, shooting percentages go down. We don't have thhe horses. No doubt, we need work on shooting, but our boarding has been the real problem here against a deep and athletic team.

We are just lost!! Dunlop should ask big gene for some damn advise.. The looks on the kids faces are the worst

We tried to grab Reinhardt but he chose UNLV. We landed Darrick Wood who can shoot and score and he has now decommitted and is rooting for Uconn. I think we've been trying to land one, but have had some miscues along the way.

This team is almost unwatchable. USF is not a very good team and St. John's looks terrible. With the way CBB is this year, being a year to year sport, SJU is in big trouble of disappearing from relevance for the foreseeable future.

Pretty much, MCN. I still believe Harrison and Harkless are decent shooters. They'll eventually come around.
