Tulane

The best start thing can be a little misleading; Minnesota a nice win, played Gonzaga tight, and beat Syracuse in Syracuse (so happy about that) but that’s about it in terms of competition, and ‘Cuse is off this year. However it is great to beat all of the teams you’re better than... for a change.

St. Mary's and Long Beach were quality wins. Not high level wins, but those west coast teams aren't half bad.

Long time between cups of coffee.

Hope we get a strong show of support at The Rock on Tuesday @ Noon !!!

NO excuse for students not to show up.

Tulane is not horrible. The defense was fantastic. Is UCLA horrible? Is Kansas horrible? Both looked horrible against Kentucky but they aren't horrible. The defense was fantastic... Tulane gave Washington a game. Washington is undefeated and ahead of us in the polls and even ahead of us in Blocked shots. Give the St John's defense its due.

Will be interesting to see if The Torch lobby's for an extension on their web site (www.torchonline.com) after the team's 7th straight win.

Saw Roger Rubin and Kieran Lynch, among others, state on Twitter, that this is our best start since '85-6

Still too early to talk about that JSJ.
But I'll admit he's doing his best to deserve an extension. Not there yet though.

Totally agree especially re SMC.

Program has been a regular in the NCAA's, give or take, the last 5-6 years.

That was a frustrating loss to a poor BC team (13-15, 4-12), although they did have Dana Barros and senior Roger McCready. McCready, who was their leading scorer, was an undersized 6-4 forward from Xaverian HS who had the heart of a lion.

Thought McCready played the post on that team? Which made him even more undersized. Did Jay Murphy and Michael Adams graduate the year before? I don't remember to many gimmes against those teams.

Dom in after game interview sounds like he should stick to playing. Great game!

Classy!

Was thinking same thing. Cut the kid a break., especially on his best day. Geez! He hasn't exact;y been before the camera a whole lot in his 4 years here

Spent a fair amount of time speaking with Sir Dominic at Lav's Christmas soiree.

He is a very nice young man and a great represenative of The University, IMHO.

We are lucky to have him wearing a St. John's uniform.
