Transfers

man i was really looking forward to moose, ponds and LoVett in the backcourt together. I hope we are all wrong and he is not another Jordan

Jordan actually played for us, he just kept threatening to leave before he finally did.

Best players that never actually played for us.
1. Darius Miles
*2. Lenny Cooke-never actually officially chose us
*3. Marcus Lovett- Potentially if rumors are true

Missing anyone?

Norvel Pelle. Heard he was tearing it up in Taiwan. That was early in 2015. Don't know where he is right now.

As the human league would say, the Lebanon. (averaging 11.7 / 15.3)

They have In-N-Out in Lebanon? Because if not, I'm not sure how he is surviving. He must be mad hungry.

What ever happened to Krustynutz?

aka Newsman. Used to be posting on Jungle. haven't seen him here much.
j

I never made the connection. I just always liked the name. He has actually posted in the last few days at the Jungle.

Really, I always thought it was a stupid name which is why I took a stupid name when I joined the Jungle as well. I always wanted to be newsie, well besides the Fox News job. ;)

Am I correct that no news is good news, i.e., if we don't hear anything tmw about Mr. Lovett, we can assume he's staying?

I don't know if he chooses to leave that it will be made public knowledge tomorrow

I think if there is no news by saturday then we are in the clear

I will never assume we are safe with this kid. Regardless of what happens now, his track record and the current concerns raised by many will always have me prepared for the worst and hoping for the best. Much like I did with Rysheed.

One major difference appears to be the presence, in Lovett's case, of an actively involved father. That knife can cut both ways, of course. We'll soon find out.

Agree not same situation with the 2 kids, but my comfort level(or lack of) is now about the same. Also not sure if Lovett's father is beneficial to the situation or not. After all he's been the one schlepping the kid all over the country and may be the one behind the possible transfer. Who knows?

I supported Rysheed throughout his whole career at sju. Obviously he had some issues, but the kid had enough things go bad for him in a 2 year stretch to more than cover a lifetime. With that said, I don't think we can compare Marcus to Rysheed at the moment. We have to give him a chance to play before we can do that. When he misses games and practices while hes eligible to play, then go ahead and discuss it. Until then be happy. We have our best pg in 10+ years getting a years worth of preparation before getting the chance to show what hes got. I can not stress to you guys enough how different the pair of Ponds and him will make this team look. There will be close to no resemblance .

If you renounce your Christian Jones love people will take your player predictions more seriously ;)

Good post, but I do get the sense that Lovett leaving thing will always be a threat so we should just enjoy him while he is here and not think about it too much. Guess that is pretty much the norm for any good college player for one reason or another now a days.

Seems like he initially played with John Wooden.

Does needing three classes to graduate mean he's enrolled in them right now, or has yet to take them?

Because he's not going anywhere if he's not on target to graduate.
