Transfers

Dickerson would have two years of eligibility left after a RS year of practicing against what is hopefully LoVett, so I actually don't mind if we land him.

Another NYC kid. Doesn't look like we are on him. A JUCO PG could be a great balance for next years young squad

@NYPost_Brazille: RECRUITING CONFIDENTIAL: Well traveled Teyvon Myers finally living up to potential: "He's a throwback NYC guard."http://t.co/tiLpHuPJPl

@jeffborzello: Iowa transfer Trey Dickerson has heard from Tennessee, Clemson, Washington, St. John's, Montana, NDSU, Houston and Missouri State.

Source says #sjubb assistant Tony Chiles spoke to Iowa transfer Trey Dickerson this afternoon. They're focusing on him I'm told.

@JasonKahnN12: Former Seton Hall guard Jaren Sina says schools in the Big Ten, SEC among the conferences looking at him. @News12NJ

Looks like he was a stud in JUCO but couldn't crack the oration at Iowa. Is this kid a high level player?

No, but he's solid. I've been a fan of the Iowa PG, Gesell, since high school, where he played with Marcus Paige. Tough player and not a kid you walk in with only one year of JUCO experience and unseat. Iowa also has a 6'5 senior guard and a 6'1 junior that have played double-digit minutes their entire careers.

I'd consider Dickerson a depth guy, but definitely in the rotation.

Lavin and St. John's need an impact player at point guard. He better hope Rysheed Jordan returns because no one he is recruiting is an impact player at present. Of course I am hoping for a surprise but like everyone else I am tempering my expectations.

I think Mussini is an impact player. But have to wait till summer for decision. I agree, that the PG position is precarious for next year.

Im not a big Gesell guy, I actually think hes Iowa's weak link.

@jeffborzello: South Carolina will visit with Seton Hall transfer Jaren Sina, per his father. BC, Michigan, Rutgers, GW and Rhode Island also involved.

I've liked him since his hs days...posted about it on here too. Tough kid. I saw a lot of Aaron Craft in him. I have to admit that I am kind of surprised that he isn't stronger, but always base this stuff on my me going from 200 to 235 and becoming a monster in the weight room between 17 and 19.

Here is another guy who is apparently available. Coming from Cornell, I am not sure he would be interested in SJU academics, but the playing time might be tempting. My guess: Duke, Northwestern or BC.

If we recruited him, NCAA would probably find something wrong with his academic record.

The Ivy League has some wacky rules. When Cornell lax player Rob Parnell hurt his ankle his senior year he actually dropped out of classes a week before finals so the academic year wouldn't count for him so he could return for a 5th year.
