Transfers

Very good player, was instrumental in win against Syracuse, only game I watched of BC this year so that's all I can say on him.

He was good at Long Beach Poly as well. Time for Lavin to call on some of his LA connections. Same goes for our DOBO. Under the table for him, of course.

Omar Calhoun and Kenton facey do last night...

They were filling out their hardship transfer papers to get admitted to St. John's so that Lav can claim "who Lav wants Lav gets" even after they enrolled at their dream school which became their nightmare. BTW, congrats to Nils Griffey who will get another NCAA ring and whose enrollment at Uconn drove Maurice Harkless to buy the Lavin BS that he would develop him into a first round NBA player.

@GoodmanESPN: Marshall has refused to let Kareem Canty transfer despite multiple requests, sources told ESPN. Thundering Herd still don't have a coach.

Good local player.

Stuff like that pisses me off. It shouldn't matter who they hire he kid should be free to leave.

Good but not great. We have had too many good players here who crash and burn. Kareem likes to attack the basket like Jordan but is neither a good shooter or defender. He also has the ability to turn the ball over at times. He is a good passer, when he wants to pass. i do not think our intrepid staff even watched him play.

Just spoke to a Georgetown alum/booster who claims that Moses Ayegba has interest in transferring to St. John's & that he wouldn't have to sit out b/c he is a grad student. Not sure if any of this is true but was wondering if anyone else has heard anything like this. There is no mention of it in the press release, although it does say he will have eligibility when he graduates next month.

Being a G'town guy, he may very well just be feeding me garbage to bust my chops.

Think he is. Moses is not very good either.

Statistically, this kid doesn't seem much better than Joey D. He's been in college for four years and he played three full seasons. Joey has played a total of 30 games and is 2-3 inches taller. It's typically harder for the big boys to develop. Obviously we aren't in a position to turn any big down, though. I am very worried about the five.

Remind me to thank my buddy, I am almost glad now that we are not on his list. >-)

@alex_prewitt: Shaq Cleare, Roddy Peters and Nick Faust all to transfer from the Terps, sources tell @PostSports.

3 transfers? What is going on at Maryland??? Their message board must be going crazy!

Fire Turgeon and hire a MAAC coach for a Big 10 school makes sense.

Phil Greene is better than any of those players.

Interesting...

Antoine Mason, as I've posted ad nauseam, is due to graduate and have an immediate year of eligibility. What I didn't know, however, is that so will his teammate, Joe Thomas. Thomas is a 6'7 220 big that doesn't have gaudy #s but will graduate in the spring and be available immediately. Fans for Niagara think both he and Mason are as good as gone. Thomas averaged 13.7 minutes, 3.4 points, and 2.6 rebounds per game. It wouldn't be such a bad package deal for a year.
