Transfers

Complete transfer list so far, a name that stuck out to me was M.J. Rhett of Tennessee St. Probably a long shot but he graduated already and would bring in some much needed size, good stats too

http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/51895/mj-rhett

Wow 19 rebounds against Belmont. 6'8 235.

His dad, Joe Rhett, was a top 40 player (from my neck of the woods) coming out of Eau Claire HS (coached by the legendary, George Glymph) in the vaunted '88 class (Alonzo Mourning, Billy Owens, Chris Jackson, Shawn Kemp, Malik Sealy and the likes).

Remember him well. That class was loaded. I still have a tape of that McD AA game, one of best groups in its history IMO.

Stacked. That was a heckuva class. I remember my brother recorded the McDonald's AA game and Dapper Dan Classic from that particular class (that tape is long gone). I recall being enamored with that class, as we landed some HS studs (Sealy, Werdann, and Sproling) and an "unknown" who turned out alright (Buchanan) from that particular group.

just a note on the transfer from WVU - Harris. A friend, whose son attends WVU, and who knows Harris, told his father that the real reason for the transfer was the kid was tired of having his defense and effort criticized by coach Huggins. Butler has a shot at him.

Interesting kid. I must admit, I have not seen him play. Looking at his stat line, he had decent games against the upper tier schools that BU played this year: UConn, Harvard and Maryland.
One concern is his FT percentage. By and large he doesn't get to the line often, and this year saw a significant dip in his make percentage. (75% to 63%). Also I'd like to see his 3P % higher!

@DalyDoseOfHoops: Ryan Anderson to transfer from Boston College...he has one more year of eligibility. Would be a good fit at a place like St. John's. #sjubb

Would be a solid pickup. Hope we're on it.

Sign him up.

He would have to sit out a year?

That's ok, he will be a good fit with Briscoe, Diallo and Govan that someone said Lavin was going to sign. LOL :)
