Transfers

Has Providence written all over it.

He can step right in for Cotton.

Agree on PC, but not sure what RI roster situation is. PT is crucial. We can't offer that.

I'm not convinced he's going to PC. He knew Cotton was graduating when he signed on with OSU, so nothing has changed there.

He might have been impressed by what he saw out of PC in the time since he signed with OSU.

BC. URI was his second school, and Preston Murphy was the recruiter. Murphy is now on Christian's staff at BC. I think this is a connect the dots situation

Did not realize that. So do you think there really is a family issue, or he just wanted to play for Murphy, but at a bigger school than URI?

Not a transfer but former recruit may be breaking commitment;

@AdamZagoria: Jared Terrell has asked out of his NLI to Oklahoma State, source confirms to @SNYtv. More later on ZAGS.

Hmm, we were involved for a while. But, Providence and Rhode Island were in his final 4 over us. Wonder if Lavin can get us back in it.

Doubt it,he doesn't seem to be into much as of late

I don't know. But I know Providence people aren't optimistic. So that makes me think he's coming home to follow Murphy to BC.
Be interesting how this plays out. Because Terell and no relationship with Christian prior to this.

@AdamZagoria: PG Shelton Mitchell has received his release from Wake Forest, @OHACoachSmith confirms to @SNYtv

This is the kind of kid and the kind of timing that turns a good team into a good program. Get a four year player like this, let him learn behind a very good back court, and then let him take over in 2015...hopefully alongside a mega talent like Briscoe. This is why a Devonte Graham/Jared Terrell package deal would be ideal for both us and them. There appears to be no chance of that happening.

4th consensus top 100 PG to get his release this spring: Elijah Stewart (Loyola Marymount), Devonte Graham (Appalachian St), Jared Terrell (OSU) and now Mitchell.

I don't consider Terrell a PG, but that's not to say he can't play the position. This has been the craziest year I can remember, and it's not even May yet. I think there will be some big names available soon, and it would be great if Coach can capitalize on the extra ships.

ooo I like this kid

Of course...he's a lefty.
I like him a lot too. That would be a really nice spring signing.

Haha you know me!

I like these notes just as much:
from scout "Mitchell is a true point guard, an old school distributor who relishes his role of quarterback."
From ESPN "He's a premium player because he does something that few of his peers either can't do or have no desire to do correctly: run a team. Mitchell is a born leader."

I'd play 4 point guards if they were 4 of my best players.

Wish I had Lavins number I could call him up real quick and tell him to get on this kid, problem is a lot of these kids that get releases end up going to a team that were right there when they committed the first time. For example, For Terrell, PC and BC were both there when he committed the first time, and now they are there again.

So since we were never involved to begin with, I don't see how we get involved now, but hey, you never know.

Interesting;

@HoosiersLive: Per @GoodmanESPN Naadir Tharpe transferring from KU. #iubb recruited him hard a few years back.
