Transfers SJU May Get Involved With

a friend of mine has season tickets to USC so i asked him about Keita. I quote "cannot catch a pass in the paint"
That sounds an awful lot like St.J's previous Keita, whom I remember seeing at ABCD camp years ago I thought at the time that he was real athletic but hands would hold him back

Not saying he is anywhere close to but Patrick Ewing had poor hands. Granted fumbling passes is very frustrating but he seems to do many other things well and with work maybe can slightly improve hands. Wouldn't feel the same if he were a wide receiver. ;)

Easily solved: Don't pass it to him in the paint if he doesn't improve during his sit year.

We complain that we need size, but we need to accept that a dog this late in the game will have some fleas.

I hope he pops for us. He really hasn't played that much to judge and the redshirt year will give him time to work on his deficiencies. Former 4 star recruit. Need another big for the future. Will help w depth his first year eligible. Can't count on Moses committing and if he does, how long will he be here?

The era of fake news and spins
I hope young Keira doesn't read this site
Or else hope he and his guardian has thick skin

Dogs and fleas?
Hmmm
Perhaps better expressed
a young man
Plays college basketball
Not so perfect
Could well
Improve here
And we could use him

Of all the deficiencies a big man could have, I feel like this one is very correctable. With his size, athleticism and three years of eligibility, I'd say he is worth it.

Neither Yakwe and Sima have good hands either. They didn't progress

He barely played this season. I'd take one random person's opinion with a grain of salt. Aside from that, it's not Yakwe and Sima's hands that are the real problem, it's their offensive instincts. From the clips alone this kid has more to work with offensively. The year working with the team should help that a ton.

r they could also get a hardship waive and play
Believe the NCAA did away with hardship waiver. Too bad cause in the case of Keita we would have a pretty strong hardship case. The hardship would be on the part of St. John's and their dearth of big men.

NCAA no longer allows "hardship waivers" where a player may transfer and be eligible immediately. Only players who do not have to sit out after transferring are those who have completed their undergraduate studies, graduated and have eligibility left.

Is it possible for a player who has a year of eligibility left and is a number of credits short of a degree to get these credits over the summer and then transfer in August and play this coming season?
