This kid is big and has talent. Injury set him back but he is certainly a much better option offensively than O'Mar Stanley who started on this past season's team.

He was recruited by Louisville before the Cards fell apart . He then transferred to Iona but , had to sit out due to injury . He’s a player not , a Roster filler . Besides , Pitino isn’t giving away scholarships to kids just because he knows them . You have to factor in that Pitino brought these players to Iona . He already knows their talent .

Slazinski is right about what he said about his biggest lesson. Never search for comfort. He was never comfortable. That’s not what being your best is about. It’s individual workouts and drill at 7am. And then between classes. Then after class. Then at night. Games are easy by comparison.
