A lawsuit was filed against the NCAA challenging their one free transfer rule because they weren’t allowing people like Curbelo a second transfer without sitting out. The NCAA lost. While they are appealing, there is no injunction against the ruling so they are now allowing unlimited transfers. Based on their recent track record with the Courts, they will probably lose their appeal which is probably why they didn’t request an injunction trying to limit potential monetary damages.+1000 and it's that recent change of allowing unlimited transfers that Pitino (and I'm sure countless other coaches) are finding so hard to deal with. Otherwise we wouldn't even be talking about whether guys like RJ & Taylor are returning.
When people keep saying the solution is simple they should not allow it. Well they had a rule in place and was strictly enforcing it, were taken to court because of it and lost. So that is why we are where we are today regarding the transfer rule.
