The COVID year has definitely made some of this stuff crazy. But with that off the table after next year, I actually think this is the best of both worlds -- we now can get those four year college guys who aren't serious NBA prospects & the NBA can still get the 1+dones

If you look at the top teams, they're all relying on guys who have stayed for 2+ years. The teams that did the most portal activity didn't fair that well this year. I think teams understand this more, and will prioritize ($$$) keeping freshman/sophomores than going for that bright shiny object

Back to the point of the thread - wonder if indeed Cliff is a realistic possibility does that preclude Booker from coming. Would have to think he'd get similar $ and more PT elsewhere

Booker has a very big deal and notice how he’s playing more lately.

Playing a little more lately but not much and he's still very frustrated. He's leaving MSU, not sure if he'd come here though if he's looking at 15mpg max again

The people I spoke to in EL think he will be just fine there in the long run. We'll see what happens over the crazy next few weeks.

Not to be like Marillac in a Daniss Jenkins thread but I'm sorry I just can't get behind this 23 and 24 yr old 'kids' playing college ball.

Sad, but there is no more “college ball”, as you well know, what there is is a completely unregulated new pro league. And unlimited eligibility is just around the corner.
The good news is that maybe, just maybe, the insanity of that just may be the catalyst to swing the pendulum back a wee bit; here’s hoping. Because had Pitino not come to SJU, I am not sure I would have much interest in this CBB season at all.
