He deserves his fifth year like all of his non-Ivy contemporaries. That league did a disservice to kids and NCAA should be pressed on that.Does he have remaining eligibility?

If these ivy kids are smart enough to successfully sue for union representation, you’d think one of them would be smart enough for a lawsuit about one more yearHe deserves his fifth year like all of his non-Ivy contemporaries. That league did a disservice to kids and NCAA should be pressed on that.
I've long suspected that since we have two Ivy kids that we've been in contact with NCAA about it.If these ivy kids are smart enough to successfully sue for union representation, you’d think one of them would be smart enough for a lawsuit about one more year
Sense both Ivy kids could apply for waiver. “Could” being operative wordI've long suspected that since we have two Ivy kids that we've been in contact with NCAA about it.
Plus I remember a poster here who I know knows some higher-ups -- Beast maybe? -- hinted a while back that Ledlum could be back.
I think the former scenario is the best case scenario. Continuity wins. I'd love having that level of leadership. The more time guys have with Pitino, the better they'll all be together. We'd basically need to replace the production of Jenkins and Soriano -- which isn't nothing, but better then replacing four starters. How would everyone feel if we could bring in three high-impact portalers while also keeping Ledlum and Dingle, returning Wilcher, Dunlap, Ejiofor, Luis, and Taylor, and mixing in the three incoming freshman, and managing to keep everyone happy for the sake of going deep in tourney (and also for the sake of money)?
Or do we prefer six to seven portal kids and less returnees?
For consistency sake bring in three high impact and retain majority of what we have. How would everyone feel if we could bring in three high-impact portalers while also keeping Ledlum and Dingle, returning Wilcher, Dunlap, Ejiofor, Luis, and Taylor, and mixing in the three incoming freshman, and managing to keep everyone happy for the sake of going deep in tourney (and also for the sake of money)?

how about 25 or 26 year oldsNot to be like Marillac in a Daniss Jenkins thread but I'm sorry I just can't get behind this 23 and 24 yr old 'kids' playing college ball.
booooooooooomHow would everyone feel if we could bring in three high-impact portalers
There are plenty of them too.how about 25 or 26 year olds
This guy is not a St. John's target, but this guy has three years of eligibility and he's 26. But it is an inspiring story: https://www.fox8live.com/2024/02/20/suno-basketball-player-making-history/There are plenty of them too.
Ah, but is your real argument against high schools for allowing parents to hold their kids back for a year or more to gain a competitive advantage? Not to be like Marillac in a Daniss Jenkins thread but I'm sorry I just can't get behind this 23 and 24 yr old 'kids' playing college ball.
That too. Maybe it will course correct and we're just flooded with Prep Schoolers who had a Covid year.Ah, but is your real argument against high schools for allowing parents to hold their kids back for a year or more to gain a competitive advantage?
That's going to be the norm when you are now collecting a paycheck, no rush to leave and make money! The system is going to change drastically, believe most 3 or even some 4 stars will start off at mid major build resume and transfer for large paycheck... I'm not sure you (or anybody) are prepared for when everybody that sues for more eligibility wins and players can essentially keep playing in college for as long as they want. That's what is going to happen until congress gets involved which A) who knows when they actually will and B) they are unlikely to actually fix anything as is the case with everything elseThat too. The COVID year has definitely made some of this stuff crazy. But with that off the table after next year, I actually think this is the best of both worlds -- we now can get those four year college guys who aren't serious NBA prospects & the NBA can still get the 1+donesThat's going to be the norm when you are now collecting a paycheck, no rush to leave and make money!
