Transfer Portal 2022

...10 minutes, but guys get wavers easier these days.
I don't think the portal site I look at has someone working overtime to update, so I look forward to tomorrow morning. Although with an EST deadline I'll have a couple hours of scanning twitter for any juicy entries.

*Although the NCAA language I just read says "By May 1." It'll still be May 1 hours from now in some places, so not sure how they handle that.

I forget who, but I did see a legit person tweet that the player just needs to inform his current school’s compliance office of his intentions to enter the portal by the deadline and that there may be a lag by the time it’s all officially processed and becomes public knowledge.

That said, I don’t envision a massive scramble by players to enter just before the deadline. Feel like they’ve had a month and a half to make a decision and anybody that was considering it would have put their name in in the past few days. I don’t think it would be something similar to an MLB trade deadline but who knows

Curbelo
Alexander
Wusu/Mathis
Jones
Soriano

Feel like this will be the lineup starting the year out, toss up between Mathis and Wusu. Storr will earn his burn also.

Stanley and Nyiwe will get plenty of burn at PF/C. Nyiwe may end up starting at PF if keep improving his outside shot. Feel like Nyiwe can be a 10 PPG rim runner/mid ranger.

Not sure on anything with Traore and King, may be a surprise, who knows.

All I know is we will be a lot more in tune on defense, a few of the guys that graduated and declared had a lot of mental lapses on D.

I think this is the day 1 starting lineup as well. I'm thinking like you that 4 starting spots are locked up and then it's between Wusu and Mathis for the last starting spot. I look for Storr and Pinzon to also compete for a starting spot as the season progresses.

The glaring thing in this lineup is shooting, however I think if Posh can get to around the 30s, Wusu continues to shoot in the upper 30s, Jones raises to the mid 30s, they'll be ok, what they lack in shooting they more than make up for in guys that are going to get after you defensively and guys that can finish at the rim really well in transition.

Very exciting news to wake up to this morning! Have to keep excitement contained cause of last season but this team looks good on paper......now what? stretch 4? 3pt threat? HS kid? Juco? Where do we turn to fill last scholarship

Michael Jones, wing from Davidson, who can really shoot it from three and is not a Max Hopper type appears to be still available. However, looks like he's headed to a Big Ten school which makes sense as he's from Minnesota.

Hopefully staff is successful luring Tobe Awaka with the last schollie.
Got to believe all of Storr, Wusu, Jones & Pinzon can be pretty good 3 point shooters this coming season. If Posh can improve to low 30s% that would be big.

Got in just under deadline. Be very interesting to see who else did as well.

And since I'm confident that Jones can play the four in our style of play, let's reach out to Mosley. If we aren't going to be a huge rebounding team, may as well score as much as possible while getting killed on the boards. (Although this is why I can see the staff finally getting serious about Awaka.)

I'm with you I am for going for it.

Find a connection out there with a big time transfer (I mentioned Keion Brooks of Kentucky) and just go all in. At this point looks like the roster is basically set with one scholarship left. So you don't have to spread yourself too thin because you can be choosy.

If they can land another impact recruit/transfer then there will be a ton of expectations and not just from us but others.
