Transfer Portal 2022

TJ apparently checking out Jack Clark of LaSalle, a SF, who is in the portal. He recently visited NC State, but no idea how that went. Not a dead eye shooter from three, stats;

I am intrigued by Clark. He did shoot 40% from three as a freshman before increasing the number of long range shots during his sophomore and junior years. The drop in percentage could be related to shot selection. He's listed at 6'8" and does average about 6 rebound per game.

I hear you JF and prefer this kid to the JC kid mentioned above, but imho we need more of a difference maker to compete for NCAA tourney next year. Curbelo was a nice pickup and improves our backcourt by leaps & bounds but we still need someone to replace a good part of what Champ & Wheeler gave us and haven't seen anyone we are mentioned with yet who can come close to doing that.

IMO Clark would be a fine depth piece as a more refined player than Stanley and Nyiwe but not a guy who should be getting 15-20+ minutes at this level if this program is trying to take the next step. He doesn’t seem to do anything at a very high level. Below 30% from 3, not a high % finisher around the rim, not a dominant rebounder, and not a shot blocker at all. Overall, not impressive numbers on a bottom tier A10 team.

Huge day for portal activity today. Hunter from Iowa State and now Yuri Collins from Saint Louis entering the portal. Saint Louis was poised to be an at large contender next year too. Good year to be a P5 team in the market for a PG
